Cabot Bordeaux is a premier lifestyle resort for golf and wine enthusiasts with two internationally acclaimed 18-hole courses nestled in the vineyards of Medoc in southwest France.
Wonderfully set in 400 acres of picturesque French countryside, this secluded and sophisticated resort, formerly known as Golf du Medoc, recently became a portfolio addition of The Cabot Collection, the Canadian developer and operator of luxury resort and residential golf destinations.
The resort joins such vaunted destinations as Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida, Cabot Highlands in Scotland and Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia in offering a luxury and boutique lifestyle experience for golfers.

Perfectly located for lovers of wine, Bordeaux is arguably the world’s wine capital with 250,000 acres of vineyards producing a diverse range of award-winning wines. The city itself, just half an hour from the resort, is full of museums and castles, cobblestone streets and Michelin-starred food.

Also, just a short drive away lies the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its 2,000-year vineyard history and underground wine caves. The Bordeaux-Merignac International Airport is 20 minutes south of the resort, while Paris is only two hours away by train.

Cabot Bordeaux offers 79 rooms, six of which are suites, with beautiful views of the golf courses and the stunning countryside, each blending classic charm with modern sophistication. The refined restaurant and bar with a terrace overlooking the golf courses is a beautiful setting to savour the superb cuisine of southwest France based on quality regional ingredients.
The excellent gastronomy is offered alongside a selection of the best wines from the local vineyards and guests can also sample wines from the local Medoc appellations at the wine cave. For more indulgence, the resort’s opulent spa features a heated indoor swimming pool, hammam, fitness room and a variety of treatments.

Both golf courses at Cabot Bordeaux, the Chateaux and the Vignes, are laid across 150 hectares of gorgeous Bordeaux countryside. The award-winning Chateaux championship course, designed by Bill Coore, hosted the French Open in 1999 and is a pretty Scottish links-style layout with wide fairways bordered by heathers, gorses and brooms with high-quality greens. We rate it as the 8th best course in France.

Vignes, designed by Rod Whitman, is wonderfully embedded in the local landscape, where heather and pines hug the fairways. There’s great variation in holes, the setting is charming and it’s easier to play than its illustrious sibling.
The Golf Training Center, in the heart of the resort, is comprised of video rooms, the latest technology, short game areas, a practice area in course configuration and a TaylorMade fitting room. All kinds of lessons and courses are available to improve your game whatever your level.

Several more excellent courses await if you venture out into the Bordeaux countryside. Golf de Bordeaux-Lac is just 10 minutes from the city centre and is home to two 18-hole courses, both of which weave through a tree-lined landscape with manicured fairways.

Golf de Pessac is located just 15km southwest of Bordeaux in the heart of a pine forest. This 18-hole course is also just a few minutes from one of the main vineyards of Bordeaux. Around 45km east of Bordeaux is Grand Saint Emilionnais Golf Club. The 18-hole course here was designed by famed architect Tom Doak and we rate it in the top 20 of all courses in France.
