Spring City Golf & Lake Resort — Golf and Lakeside Serenity
We have chosen some fantastic resorts in Egypt‘s historic capital Cairo for the most luxurious and exotic of golf trips, with glorious year-round weather and manicured fairways with views of the Great Pyramids.

The luxury JW Marriott Hotel Cairo offers 5-star accommodation and award-winning service. Located in New Cairo, an upscale desirable district which includes the Fifth Settlement, Katameya and Rehab City, the hotel has 440 immaculately appointed rooms and suites and there’s 14 dining options offering Italian, Asian and oriental dishes, a spa, a magnificent man-made beach and a fantastic water park. The ideal spot for a golf trip to Cairo.
Visitors to the resort can play at the resident Mirage City Golf Club. Designed by Peter Harradine, Mirage City features 27 challenging holes on two lush green courses, including the 18-hole, par-72 Championship Course. That was built in the 90s, with Harradine adding the 9-hole par-32 layout a decade later. The main course has light bunkering, is in excellent condition with ponds and streams in play at nearly every hole. Rory McIlroy played here in 2010 at the Egyptian Open.
Set in the centre of a prestigious private enclave in New Cairo, this 5-star resort features a 9,000-square-foot spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a 27-hole golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. The hotel features well-appointed guest rooms and suites with splendid views of the fairways. Each accommodation is a haven for wellness and relaxation, and there’s an all-day restaurant featuring a Mediterranean menu, complemented by the Dunes Bar, showcasing an extensive wine list.

The golf courses are a green oasis in the middle of the desert with palm tree-lined fairways, extensive bunkering, lakes, streams, and even waterfalls. 27 enjoyable and testing holes have been configured into two courses, The Lakes and The Palms. The Lakes is slightly longer, while both courses share the same front nine. The Golf Academy boasts the very latest in teaching equipment technology and is complemented by extensive practice facilities and a superb driving range.
Fantastic location for sightseers at this 5-star hotel, with the Mall of Egypt and other Cairo attractions, including the renowned Pyramids of Giza, just a few km away. The well-appointed rooms, all of which feature golf course or pool views from the balcony, are complimented by a luxury spa, gym, a beautiful outdoor pool, and several bars and restaurants.

The resort is home to The Dreamland Golf Course, a world class facility located just a few minutes away from the Great Pyramids. The 18 beautifully manicured holes of the Championship Course can be played from five sets of tees, and there’s a floodlit driving range. The bentgrass fairways are bordered by dramatic bunkering and high quality greens. The Open Championship of Egypt has been held here three times.
This is a 5-star option on the banks of the Nile. The city’s huge Nile Towers Mall is just footsteps away. It has 542 guest rooms and luxury suites all of which are decorated with elegant Art Deco furnishings. There’s four restaurants, three bars and a rooftop pool deck and restaurant with spectacular views across Cairo to the Pyramids. There’s a beauty salon and you can pamper yourself at the Willow Stream Spa or keep fit at the health club. Guests enjoy special rates at Allegria Golf Club, a 40-minute drive away.

Allegria Golf Club – We rate this course as Egypt’s best. About 20km west of Cairo, this par-72 parkland-style course was designed by Greg Norman and features natural lakes, streams, rock features, and undulating fairways, creating a visually stunning course, especially with all the trees that frame the surroundings. The tricky greens are large and there’s plenty of sprawling bunkers. Managed by Troon Golf, this is widely seen as Egypt’s premier golf development.
Make Cairo your next dream golf vacation.
