Interview with an All Square Member – Gabriella Wahl

All Square is all about the passionate golfers who use our social network. Today we are chatting to Symetra Tour player and All Square user Gabriella Wahl.

1. About your golfing life 

To start, can you tell us how you first got into golf?

I’m from Heidenheim, Germany but I started playing golf at the age of 9 at my swing coach’s Systema Golf Academy in Pfarrkirchen, Austria. My parents and I enrolled in a one week golf introduction lesson package as part of a vacation. A year later we went back and did another week of lessons after which I started participating in club championships and regional tournaments in Bavaria.

Your funniest golf experience?

My parents and I played a round on a course in Southern California when I was younger. The course wasn’t busy and two members asked if it was ok if they joined us. We ended up playing as a fivesome, having the course for ourselves. On the first tee one of them pulled out a bag of cigars. The bag was empty after 18 holes. He also had a radio with him on which he played Beach Boys music the entire time. His buddy was German and had taught him all kinds of crazy cuss words which was hilarious because he had no idea what he was saying. I haven’t laughed that much on a round ever.

What would you like to change in golf?

I love golf and I wouldn’t change anything except for the fact that I would love to have more spectators at women’s competitions.

How did you first discover All Square?

All Square is a Preferred Marketing Partner of the Symetra Tour and was at one of the first tournaments of the 2016 season in Fort Myer, Florida. All Square talked to us about their app and concept.
