PGA Tour 2026: Season Overview
Ping has unveiled its latest innovation in golf technology with the G440 series, set to make a significant impact in 2025. Building upon the success of the G430 lineup, the G440 series introduces advancements designed to enhance performance for golfers.
The G440 driver family comprises three models: Max, LST (Low Spin Technology), and SFT (Straight Flight Technology). Each is engineered to cater to specific player needs:

G440 Max: This model features a carbon crown, a first for Ping’s mainstream drivers, replacing the previous titanium design. The Carbonfly wrap technology reduces weight, allowing for a lower center of gravity (CG) and increased forgiveness. A 29g tungsten sliding weight at the back offers adjustability for fade, draw, or neutral shot preferences. The standard shaft length has been extended to 46 inches to promote greater clubhead speed.
G440 LST: Aimed at players seeking lower spin rates, the LST model incorporates the Carbonfly wrap and a new, thinner face to boost ball speeds. Its compact head shape appeals to better players, and the adjustable tungsten weight allows for fine-tuning shot shape. The LST is available in 9° and 10.5° lofts, with eight hosel adjustments for optimal customization.
G440 SFT: Designed to correct a slice, the SFT model promotes a draw bias to help golfers achieve straighter shots. It shares the Carbonfly wrap and thinner face technology with its counterparts, enhancing forgiveness and distance. The 23g tungsten weight is positioned to encourage a draw, and the model is available in 9° and 10.5° lofts, with a high-launch (HL) version for slower swing speeds.

For the first time in its fairway wood lineup, Ping introduces Carbonfly Wrap Technology, a lightweight composite material that replaces traditional titanium in the crown. This innovation redistributes weight lower and deeper in the head, resulting in a higher launch and increased ball speed for longer, more accurate shots. Additionally, the unique weighting system, which includes strategically placed tungsten, enhances stability and MOI (Moment of Inertia), leading to more forgiving strikes across the face.
Another feature of the G440 fairway woods is a thinner and more flexible face maximizing energy transfer to the ball. This innovation translates to improved distance and consistency, even on off-center hits.
Finally, the fairway woods come with an adjustable hosel that provides eight loft and lie settings.
Available lofts include 14.5° (3-wood), 17.5° (5-wood), and 20.5° (7-wood).

The G440 irons succeed the G430 range, offering improvements tailored for mid to high-handicap golfers. They have a more compact and clean look, with a face that is 9% thinner than previous models. This design promotes increased ball speed, even on off-center hits. Weight savings from the thinner face allow for a lower and deeper CG, resulting in higher launch angles and greater carry distances. Additionally, Ping has adjusted the shaft lengths, adding 1/8-inch to the 4-iron, 5-iron, and 6-iron, and simplified the wedge setup to four options, enhancing playability and shot-making precision.
