Villa Padierna Golf Resort: Golf & Luxury in Costa del Sol

Tommy Fleetwood arrived in New Delhi with momentum that nearly hummed in the air. Fresh from finally breaking through for his first PGA Tour victory and locking in his place for the end-of-season run, he walked into the tight, tree-lined fairways of Delhi Golf Club with something extra: a plan and a purpose. On Sunday, he closed with a 7-under 65 to finish at –22 and claim the title by two strokes over Japan’s Keita Nakajima.

From a gear standpoint, Fleetwood made a bold choice at Delhi: he omitted the driver altogether for much of the week, electing instead to rely on a mini-driver, a 5-wood, and a 4-iron off the tee in order to tame the narrow corridors of the course. His bag featured a TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver (13.5°) paired with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue shaft, a TaylorMade Qi35 5-wood (18°), a TaylorMade Qi10 9-wood (24°), and his trusted TaylorMade P7TW irons (4-PW). That disciplined equipment and club-selection strategy underpinned a week where precision triumphed over raw length — a hallmark of Fleetwood’s game.

Looking at Fleetwood’s career arc, the Englishman has quietly built an impressive résumé. He turned professional in 2010 and gradually worked his way into elite company, accumulating numerous top-five finishes before finally closing the deal at the Tour Championship in August 2025 to also take home the FedExCup. He then played a starring role in Europe’s historic Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black. The India win marks his eighth DP World Tour title, solidifying 2025 as the year when everything came together — his gear, mindset, and results perfectly in sync.
Let’s take a closer look at the exact clubs Tommy Fleetwood used to secure his latest victory at the DP World India Championship.
