Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is an international luxury hotel company with over 120 locations offering some of the best golf vacations across the globe. We pick out some of the best.
This superb five-star luxury resort, set in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, is home to two world-class golf courses and the bustling towns of Scottsdale and Phoenix are all less than 40 minutes away.
It features 210 guest rooms, including 44 residential units, 25 of which are casitas. Set on 127 acres at the former Crescent Moon Ranch, it is adjacent to Pinnacle Peak Park and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. There is one outdoor pool and a spa on site, as well as two tennis courts. A complimentary shuttle transfers guests to Troon North, home to the Pinnacle and Monument Courses.
The Pinnacle, a Tom Weiskopf design, is a visually stunning course that will fully test your golfing skills while you marvel at the spectacular desert and mountain views. The Monument course, another Weiskopf design, plays slightly easier than its sibling, and together they offer a brilliant golfing experience in an incredible desert setting.
This five-star resort is set in the glorious alpine playground of Megève, a ski resort village in the Alps of southeastern France. The hotel has 55 rooms, including 14 suites, complete with fireplaces and balconies for taking in the mountain views. It’s also home to Le 1920, a famous Michelin two-star restaurant.
The resort overlooks Mont d’Arbois Golf Course, designed by three-time Open champion Sir Henry Cotton. It’s one of the finest alpine golf courses in the world, just a few minutes drive away, and offers truly stunning mountain views along with a superb lounge experience during the summer months at the clubhouse.
In 2019, Four Seasons announced the opening of a new sister property, Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois, Megève, another five-star Four Seasons Hotel offering Michelin-starred dining and close proximity to the ski slopes and golf course.
This five-star resort is located in a secluded setting within the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida. Guests can tee off at Tranquilo Golf Course, splash around with the children at Explorer Island, enjoy the lazy river, tennis, take the shuttle to Disney and all its parks, or indulge in treatments at the spa.
It offers over 400 of some of the largest guest rooms in Orlando as well as 68 suites, including the luxuriously spacious Royal Suite. You can also enjoy the superb views of the resort’s beautiful 26-acre lakeside scenery from Capa, the rooftop Spanish-style steakhouse.
There’s also the superb Tom Fazio designed championship golf course with four sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. Open to only members and resort guests, it’s unique in central Florida for its varying elevations and is home to abundant wildlife and protected wetlands. It’s fabulously picturesque.
Located on the picturesque Kona-Kohala coast of Hawaii Island and surrounded by white-sand beaches and dramatic black-lava landscapes, this superb five-star resort is perfectly situated for all kinds of island adventures, and is home to a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.
There’s nearly 250 guest rooms housed in intimate two-story bungalows arranged in small crescents along the beachfront and golf course, seven pools, several dining options, a resident Ocean Adventures team, tennis courts, and a spa with 14 treatment rooms and salon services.
Laid out with great sensitivity to its unique environment, the wonderful 18-hole course from the Golden Bear winds over 7,100 yards, starting out in a lush oasis, flowing across bright green fairways contoured against black lava, then returning to the ocean for the final holes.
With a prime location on the private peninsula of Banderas Bay on Mexico‘s Pacific coast, this five-star resort features over 170 luxurious rooms, an excellent spa, three swimming pools, tennis courts, two private beaches and four restaurants.
It’s also home to fantastic water sport activities and dolphin watching, as well as two Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses. Jack’s two courses, Bahia and Pacifico, are both fantastic.
Bahia is more challenging and features panoramic views of the bay and Punta Mita’s famed El Faro surf spot, stunning lakes and water features. Pacifico offers views across the Sierra Madre Mountains, the bay and the Pacific and is appropriate for all skill levels. Plan ahead to play the famed ‘Tail of the Whale’, the world’s only natural island green that has to be played at low tide.
