Kingston Heath — A Masterpiece of Melbourne’s Sandbelt

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry have won the pairs-event Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The win marks McIlroy’s 25th victory on the PGA Tour. Here’s his club set-up.
The Irish duo beat Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a play-off after American Ramey and Frenchman Trainer shot a nine-under 63 to post a target of 25 under. McIlroy and Lowry birdied the final hole for a 68 to force the play-off.
Replaying the 18th, Lowry missed a putt for birdie but Trainer then missed his own par putt. McIlroy tapped in with his Spider Tour X for the win.
McIlroy is now T23 all-time on the PGA Tour wins list. It was also the third time he has won a tournament on his debut at an event.

McIlroy is a TaylorMade staffer and uses a full bag of the brand’s clubs. In 2017, he signed a ten-year clubs, ball and bag deal with the manufacturer worth $100m.
At the top of his bag is the TaylorMade Qi10 driver. The brand launched the Qi10 drivers, fairways woods, hybrids and irons in January, designed to be their most advanced and forgiving clubs yet.
The Qi10 offers all-round performance with a lower CG projection and higher MOI than the brand’s Stealth 2. It has been engineered to help golfers optimize distance and enhance forgiveness.
He pairs this with a 45-inch Ventus Black 6X and this season he is crushing his drives with a 186mph ball speed and 330-yards carry.
