During this week’s interview we had a nice chat with Georges Weis, a passionate young golfer from Luxembourg who has already represented his country during international championships. Find out how he got into golf, his most luckiest bounce and much more.
To start, can you tell us how you first got into golf?
My father started playing golf when I was 7 years old. The rest of the family joined him quickly, because it is a sport that requires a lot of time and we like to spend time with the whole family. Today we are all very much into golf and my little brother and I play for the team of Golfclub Rheinhessen in Germany.
What would make golf more fun?
I would suggest making the holes a little bigger so that the scores will become lower and the game more exciting in general.
Your funniest golf experience?
Last year during the Team Championship I played a 3-wood on a par 5 as my second shot, which went out of bounds but suddenly the ball bounced on a path and kicked back in play. In the end it finished close to the green and I made a birdie on that hole. Sometimes golf is a funny game!
Your top 3 golf destinations?
Scotland, Augusta and South of France.
What is the golf flight of your dreams?
Rory McIlroy, Seve Ballesteros and Jack Nicklaus.
How did you first discover All Square?
Patrick Rahme, the founder, introduced me to the project at the very beginning and I signed up directly.
Complete the sentence: What I like the most about All Square is …
That it is a kind of social network that did not exist before and it is all about golf.
Your favorite feature on All Square?
The check-in feature is definitely my favorite one.
Have you met new golfers through All Square?
As I have almost 40 friends on All Square, I’m sure that I will soon play a round of golf with them.
Hitting long drive or sinking long putt?
Hitting long drive.
Having the round of your life or a hole-in-one?
Having the round of my life.
Early morning or late afternoon tee off?
Early morning.
The coolest player on Tour?
The cool Swede Henrik Stenson.

Congratulations for your career and I wish youa good season. It would be nice to welcome you one day at LuxGolfhouse, the new golfers meeting point in Luxembourg. With very sophisticated technologies (8 different analyzing tools) you have a lot of data helping to check and eventually improve your swing.
It would be a pleasure to welcome you. All the best, Thierry
