The Players Championship 2025: A Preview of Golf’s ‘Fifth Major’
Let’s take a look in the golf bag of Tommy Fleetwood. The Englishman used to have a bag of Nike gear until the brand stopped making clubs in 2016, and now uses a variety of clubs.
The 29-year-old has no contract with a manufacturer so is free to choose his equipment, but he does have a deal with Titleist to use their golf balls.
Titleist TSi3 (9 degrees @ 8.25)
Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X (tipped 1 inch, 44.75 inches)
Fleetwood used the TaylorMade’s M5 and M6 drivers last year, and then the TaylorMade SIM. Now he’s using the Titleist TSi3, cranked down at 8.25 degrees.
He is averaging 301.6 yards off the tee on the PGA Tour this season, ranking him in 91st place.
Titleist TSi2 (15 degrees @ 14.25, C1 Surefit)
Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X (42.5 inches)
TaylorMade M6 (19 degrees @ 18)
Shaft: Mitsubishi Kuro Kage XTS 80 TX (41.25 inches)
Titleist TSi2 (21 degrees, B1 Surefit)
Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 8X (41 inches)
Fleetwood is not afraid to try out new equipment and has tested both the Titleist TS3 and Ping G410. Right now it appears that he is happy with his Titleist TSi2 3- and 7-wood, and his TaylorMade M6 5-wood.
He has also added TaylorMade’s new GAPR LO utility iron into his bag more than once. He has tested this club with a graphite shaft and a steel shaft.
Srixon Z785 (4, 5), TaylorMade P7TW (6-9)
Shafts: Project X Rifle 6.5
Fleetwood has been using the TaylorMade P7TW irons for a while now, and he also has a Srixon Z785 model 4-iron and 5-iron.
Tiger Woods also uses TaylorMade P7TW irons and worked hand-in-hand with the engineering team to develop them.
Callaway Jaws MD5 Raw (48-10S at 47, 52-10S, 54-10S at 55, 60-08T)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold S400
Fleetwood was using a set of Titleist Vokey SM7 wedges, but has changed to four Callaway Jaws MD5 Raw wedges. They are fitted with Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts.
Odyssey White Hot Pro 3
Grip: SuperStroke Mid Slim 2.0
Fleetwood has struggled with the putter this season and had been using an Odyssey 2-ball prototype, but then he switched back to his Odyssey #3 White Hot Pro putter at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill back in March.
Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord, Iomic Sticky
Titleist Pro V1
Titleist’s Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls have been designed to leave the clubface with more ball speed and lower long game spin for more distance while providing the best short game control to help golfers shoot lower scores.
