Bridgestone has released new versions of its Tour B golf ball for 2022, as used by Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau – and they could be the ball for you.
Tiger Woods signed with Bridgestone in 2018 and used the brand’s Tour-B-XS golf ball while winning the 2018 Tour Championship, the 2019 Masters and the 2019 Zozo Championship.
Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar and Lexi Thompson also now use Bridgestone balls.
In 2022, Bridgestone introduced four new Tour B balls for a wide range of golfers. Tiger played a key role in the development of this range, particularly the tour-standard B-XS, which he uses.
So, they create golf balls for elite pros, but these new Tour B golf balls are also suitable for good amateur players.
Here’s the new range and the type of golfer they are suitable for. All models feature a proprietary urethane cover, that Bridgestone calls REACTIV iQ, and a ‘double dimple’ technology.

This ball is suitable for lower handicap golfers and is the firmest ball in the range with the highest compression rating, and it will produce less short-game spin when compared to the Tour B XS. It was developed with the assistance of Bryson DeChambeau and Matt Kuchar, with both using them on tour. This ball is suitable for those wanting that extra distance off the tee, just like Bryson.

This ball was designed to provide additional short game spin compared to the Tour B X. That’s where the ‘S’ comes in. It also should provide more spin for better control on approach shots. It’s also for lower handicappers, but it has a slightly softer feel than the Tour B X. It’s less about distance, though that’s still good, and more about green-side spin.

This is for golfers who perhaps don’t swing that fast, so it might be a good option for older golfers. It is designed to give more distance at those slower swing speeds, with a slightly softer feel than the Tour B X and the Tour B XS. This ball is about distance with less short-game spin. Lexi Thompson uses this ball.

This again is for slower swing speeds, but for golfers who want extra spin at that slower speed. This increased spin is great for more green-side control. This model has the lowest compression and softest feel when compared to the other Tour B balls.
