Russell Henley’s Winning Bag—What’s Inside?

Stay at one of these four luxury resorts in the Indian Ocean paradise of Mauritius and play unlimited golf at courses designed by Bernhard Langer and Ernie Els.
Luxury hotel group Sunlife has four incredible resorts in Mauritius to choose from, each with privileged access to a Bernhard Langer golf course on its very own tropical island.
The Mauritian hotel group is comprised of 5-star hotels Long Beach and Sugar Beach and 4-star properties La Pirogue and Ambre Resort & Spa, as well as the private east coast island Ile aux Cerfs. The island is home to the Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and its 18-hole championship course designed by the two-time Masters champion.
Guests at each resort gain privileged access to Langer’s course and, depending on which resort you stay at, can also play at Ernie Els’ Anahita Golf Club less than 2km away, as well as Tamarina Golf Club on the west coast designed by Rodney Wright.

Sugar Beach is set along the beautiful bay of Flic-en-Flac in manicured gardens by one of the most picturesque beaches in Mauritius. It’s a plantation/colonial-style resort that mixes old-world charm with modern comforts. There are 238 elegant sea or garden-facing rooms housed in manor or villa-style buildings, each with its own private balcony, along with two pools, seven restaurants and bars, a fitness centre and the Cinq Mondes Spa, kids and teens club, water sports and tennis.

Guests get unlimited green fees at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Tamarina Golf Club as well as free land transfers to both clubs and return boat transfers to Ile Aux Cerfs.

Modern and chic hotel fringing the stunning beach at Belle Mare on the east coast. Encompassed by tropical gardens, every room has access to its own stretch of beach, garden or pool. All 255 rooms and suites feature a private furnished balcony or terrace. Four swimming pools, a main Piazza area, five restaurants, two bars, the Cinq Mondes Spa, a fully-equipped gym, kids and teens club and a huge array of water sports.
Guests can enjoy unlimited green fees at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Anahita Golf Club. Golfers get free land transfers to both clubs and return boat transfers to Ile Aux Cerfs.

Hotel for guests aged 16 and over. There are 297 rooms and suites right on the beach, nestled between a coral-reef lagoon and lush tropical gardens built with open architecture providing uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. Three restaurants, three bars, a nightclub and a tropical spa. Swimming pool and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean as well as water sports, fitness centre and tennis courts.
Guests get unlimited green fees at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and free land transfer and return boat transfer.

Set on the stunning Sunset Coast with 248 individual thatched cottages with private outdoor space, decked out in a local Boho-chic style. Each looks out onto tropical gardens, lagoon or beach. The thatched roofs are similar to the unfurled sail of the local fishing boats from where the resort gets its name. Six restaurants and bars, which includes access to the bars and restaurants of Sugar Beach next door, and vice versa. Swimming pool, kids club, Cinq Mondes Spa and water sports.
Guests enjoy unlimited green fees at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Tamarina Golf Club and get free land transfers to both clubs and return boat transfers to Ile aux Cerfs.

Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club – An 18-hole championship course which offers glorious views of the surrounding Indian Ocean. It’s set on its own tropical island, accessible via a quick boat transfer. Bernhard Langer has created a testing masterpiece but it’s incredibly scenic, snaking through a coral island refuge with volcanic rock formations, lakes and tropical plantations.

Anahita Golf Club – Ernie Els-designed Anahita is an 18-hole championship course with six stunning oceanfront holes culminating in a final tee shot that is among the most spectacular in the world. The first course in the Indian Ocean to be built to USGA (United States Golf Association) standards.

Tamarina Golf Club – Tamarina is not only set in a gorgeous environment but also offers a fun and challenging test of golfing skills. The uniqueness of this beautiful and expansive course lies in the contrast between the wild intensity of its rugged surroundings and the design finesse of its greens and fairways.
Amazing!
