On a thrilling Sunday at Bay Hill, Russell Henley stormed to victory at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational, turning a three-shot deficit into a one-stroke win over Collin Morikawa. With a final-round 2-under 70, Henley finished at 11-under 277, leaning on his Titleist T100 irons and a clutch Vokey SM10 wedge to seal the deal. The defining moment came at the par-5 16th, where his chipped-in eagle from 54 feet flipped the script and stunned the field.
This triumph, Henley’s fifth PGA Tour win, stands as his career’s crown jewel to date. The 35-year-old from Georgia has been a model of consistency since going pro in 2011, with a game built on precision and resilience. His last victory came in November 2022, and though top-10s piled up since—10, to be exact—this Bay Hill breakthrough felt like a long-awaited payoff.
The road to the red cardigan wasn’t easy. Russell Henley bogeyed the 10th, falling further behind Morikawa, but he responded with a birdie on the 14th, sticking a 5-iron to 10 feet as his rival slipped. That set the stage for the heroics on 16, where his second shot found trouble, only for his wedge to deliver magic from the rough.
Henley’s $4 million payday and first signature event title underscore a career on the rise. A University of Georgia alum, he’s long been admired for his ball striking, but this win showcased his knack for the big moment. As he put it, standing in Arnie’s shadow felt “surreal”.
Henley’s bag offers plenty to unpack, from his driver to those wedges that stole the show. This What’s In The Bag showcases the gear that made his Bay Hill win unforgettable.
