Every week, we will be interviewing passionate golfers who enjoy using All Square. During this week’s interview, we had a nice conversation with Mikael de Picciotto, a Swiss amateur golfer who plays on the stunning Golf Club de Genève in Switzerland. Mikael told us about his golf background, why his friends call him Toshiba and his funniest moments playing the game.
Part 1: ABOUT GOLF
To start, can you tell us how you first got into golf?
I first got into golf at the age of 12, I just wanted to…try it out and I got addicted to the game!
What would make golf more fun?
A good joke after a poor shot!
Your funniest golf experience?
Back in my university years in St Andrews, I used to play for the 1st team. I remember that time when I got on the 9th tee of the Jubilee which is a par 3. There were gusts of more than 40mph. I skied my tee shot and after say 30yards it started going backwards and ended up behind me on the beach! Not my best one!
Or, that time when my flat mate and me decided to tee it up at 4am on the Old Course (the sun is already up in June…) and this guy shouted at us. Course closed. Big fail. We ended up in a house party with our golf gears and our bags!
What is the golf flight of your dreams?
Rory, Jack Nicklaus, and Adriana Lima…
