Patrick Rahme, CEO of All Square, attended the 10th edition of the KPMG Golf Business Forum in St. Andrews from 3-5 June 2013.
The Golf Business Forum is a two-day conference filled with engaging, dynamic and interactive discussions, one-on-one interviews, fast-paced debates and presentations from key industry leaders on a variety of topics, from golf design, development and investment through golf operations to efficient tools in international branding and golf tourism marketing.
How golf uses technology to grow the excitement and appeal of the game was one of the hot topics at this year’s KPMG Golf Business Forum staged in St Andrews. Among the many subjects covered, delegates heard how technology is helping other sports to engage more deeply with audiences and how golf, driven by the professional game, has an opportunity to grow by embracing new technologies.
The final session of the Golf Business Forum welcomed industry heavyweights to the stage to debate current issues influencing the game, the growth of the Asian golf market, how golf needs to change, and its inclusion in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
All in all, the Forum was a great opportunity for Patrick Rahme, CEO of All Square, to share his idea of a global platform for golfers with industry leaders. Don Riddell, anchor of CNN’s World Sport, asked Patrick to share his vision in front of the 250 delegates during the innovation panel, which included Mark Player (CEO – Gary Player Group), Dana Garmany (CEO – Troon®), Chris Burton (VP Global Sponsorship – SAP) and Giles Morgan (Global Head of Sponsorship and Events – HSBC).
