Introducing the TaylorMade Qi35: Revolutionizing the Driver Game

The newly founded company All Square (WWW.ALLSQUAREGOLF.COM) is a story of friendship mixed with love for the game of Golf and passion for entrepreneurship. Graduates from HEC Lausanne, Arthur de Rivoire & Patrick Rahme are convinced that the future of the Internet is to gather people around specific themes and interests instead of huge communities as for now.
Golf au Luxembourg has interviewed Patrick Rahme, co-founder & CEO of All Square SA:
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Golf has been a huge part of my life since a very young age and I represented Luxembourg in many International and European Championships. I graduated from HEC Lausanne in Switzerland and spent a year at the London School of Economics specializing in Economics and Finance. Prior to founding All Square I worked at Credit Suisse in Geneva.
What motivated you to launch AllSquaregolf.com?
Golf is a sport that has the particularity of making people addicted and represents a strong community. As of today, there is no reference platform that allows Golfers to stay connected and share experiences internationally. My greatest motivation to launching All Square is certainly my passion for Golf.
What is AllSquaregolf.com all about?
The objective of the All Square platform is to redefine the way golfers connect and travel around the World. Designed by golfers for golfers, All Square is engineered to bring golfers together from all parts of the World. Every golfer has had some great experiences in his golfing career. Sharing these moments with friends at any time and all over the World is unique. All Square is all about sharing and comparing experiences with your friends around the course.
Why should golfers join AllSquaregolf.com?
Joining AllSquaregolf.com is free of charge! All Square is the first international social network exclusively for golfers, which will allow you to share and compare golf experiences with your friends as well as to discover some of the best courses around the World thanks to our interactive course guide. Furthermore, we have founded strong partnerships with some of the best travel agencies in the World and leading luxury concierge clubs providing members with both, exclusive deals on the World’s finest golf trips and the best rates on many golf destinations. Finally, AllSquaregolf.com has been included in the EGA’s strategic plan to promote Golf in Europe.
What are your biggest challenges?
One of the challenges All Square has to face is to encourage regular members’ activity. Our team is dedicated to constantly improving the platform in accordance to members’ preferences and needs. Other challenges are to stand out amongst our competitors, grow internationally by adapting to different cultures and keeping pace with new technologies.
Where do you see AllSquaregolf.com in the future?
All Square is an international platform. This clearly makes me see the future of the platform in the United States and Asia. Golf in China is a growing industry and is seen as the top recreational sport for business people and officials. The number of golfers is projected to grow from 1.5 million to about 3 million by 2020. With golf set to return to the Olympic games in 2016, growth will certainly be accelerated which is a great thing for the game itself.
Why the name All Square?
When we first met, Arthur (co-founder) and I faced each other in a match play in Switzerland. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to defeat him, nor was he able to beat me. We finished all square!
When will AllSquaregolf.com be launched?
The launch of AllSquaregolf.com BETA is expected on 1st September 2013. We will first concentrate on Europe and use the winter break to establish ourselves in the United States.
What are the biggest “perks” of your job?
As we are still a start-up there aren’t many perks except the fact that I rarely pay green fees and get invitation to golf events all around Europe. That’s pretty nice for a start.
