Let’s take a look in the golf bag of young Scot and TaylorMade staffer Robert MacIntyre, who claimed his first European Tour title at the Cyprus Showdown in November.
The 24-year-old is one of the European Tour’s most promising players and won the Rookie of the Year award in 2019 after seven top-ten finishes. In July that year he made his Open Championship debut at Royal Portrush, finishing in a tie for sixth, and went on to finish in 11th place in the Race to Dubai standings.
In November 2020, he claimed his first European Tour title at the Cyprus Showdown after he birdied four of his last six holes at Aphrodite Hills to finish a shot ahead of Japan‘s Masahiro Kawamura.

MacIntyre uses the TaylorMade SIM Max driver and has it set up to promote hitting a fade off the tee, his favoured shot. His 3-wood is an older model made by TaylorMade, an Aeroburner TP.
3-Wood

For his 3-iron he uses a TaylorMade SIM UDI, but he sometimes swaps this out for a 5-wood depending on course and conditions. When he does, it is usually a TaylorMade SIM Max model with 18 degrees of loft.
He then has three Hi-Toe wedges with 52, 56 and 60 degrees of loft respectively. He reportedly spent many hours testing and practicing to find the exact right grind to suit his game.
