Rory McIlroy ended the season top of the DP World Tour rankings, but it was Jon Rahm who secured a third DP World Tour Championship.
Jon Rahm finished on 20 under, two stroked clear of Tyrrell Hatton and Alex Noren in joint second, at the Earth Course at Jumeriah Golf Estates in Dubai, while Rory McIlroy was a further shot back.
McIlroy retained his place at the top of the season-long DP World Tour rankings and secured the Harry Vardon Trophy for a fourth time, with the world No 1 also becoming only the second player in history to win the PGA Tour’s FedExCup and the DP World Tour’s Race To Dubai in the same season.
Just six months after announcing his move to become a Callaway player, Rahm became a major champion by winning the US Open in June 2021.
In Dubai, Rahm used the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond model for his metal woods and had a 10.5-degree head lofted up to 11.2 degrees, one of the highest lofts among pro players.
The Triple Diamond model was deigned to reduce spin and produce a penetrating ball flight. For his irons, he uses a Callaway X Forged UT driving iron and the Callaway Apex TCB irons from 4-iron down to pitching wedge. His uses Project X 6.5 shafts.
Rahm’s three wedges are all the Callaway Jaws Forged model and he uses an Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S putter. He rounds off his bag with the Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball.
