How to Qualify for the U.S. Amateur: A Comprehensive Guide
Brian Campbell captured his second PGA Tour title in style at the 2025 John Deere Classic, outlasting Emiliano Grillo in a tense two-hole playoff at TPC Deere Run. With a final-round 67 and a four-day total of 18-under-par, Campbell proved that smart shot-making and a finely tuned setup can still outshine power on today’s tour.
While many players rely on sheer distance, Campbell took a more strategic approach. His Ping-heavy bag — featuring a G430 LST driver, Blueprint S irons, and a familiar Redwood Anser 2 putter — helped him rank among the tournament’s best in greens in regulation and scrambling. His precision paid off on the final playoff hole, where he stuck a 193-yard approach to 16 feet and calmly drained the par putt for the win.
The victory adds another chapter to Campbell’s steady, quietly impressive career. After turning pro in 2015 and earning his first PGA Tour win earlier this season, the 32-year-old has cemented his place among the game’s rising late bloomers. With confidence building and his equipment clearly dialled in, Campbell’s future looks as promising as his playoff poise.
