Kurt Kitayama’s triumph at the 2025 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota, was nothing short of spectacular. After barely squeaking through the cut, Kitayama erupted over the weekend with an 11‑under 60 in round three — tying the course record — then poured in a 65 on Sunday to capture his second PGA Tour title at 23 under par, holding off Sam Stevens by a stroke.

Kurt Kitayama leaned on an eclectic mix of gear from Titleist, TaylorMade and Bridgestone, wielding an 11° Titleist GT3 driver and GT1 fairway woods (14.5° and 21°), with forged TaylorMade P-7CB and P-7MC irons in his bag. His magic iron moment came with a bent‑dart 7‑iron out of a fairway bunker on 14, setting up a birdie that effectively sealed the win.

What really stood out in his performance was how Kurt Kitayama turned around a lacklustre season. Before this week, he had only two top‑10s in 2025 — and now he rockets from 110th to 53rd in the FedEx Cup standings, locking in a playoff spot and setting himself up for the BMW Championship and all signature events next season.
