J.T. Poston produced one of the finest performances of his career to capture the 2026 Memorial Tournament, conquering the demanding test of Muirfield Village Golf Club with the precision and composure that have become his trademarks. Battling gusty conditions throughout the week, the American relied on exceptional ball-striking and a rock-solid short game to outlast an elite field and secure another prestigious PGA Tour victory. His standout second-round 65, played in brutal winds and highlighted by eight birdies, proved to be one of the defining moments of the championship and set the tone for a memorable week.

The equipment behind Poston’s triumph reflected his trust in a familiar setup built around control and consistency. A Titleist GTS3 driver paired with a Mitsubishi Diamana BF shaft led the way off the tee, while his combination of a Titleist TS2 fairway wood and TaylorMade Qi4D 7-wood provided versatility from long range. His mixed set of Titleist 150 and T100 irons, along with four Vokey wedges and a TaylorMade Spider Tour X Torched putter, gave him the tools to attack Muirfield Village’s demanding greens. Rounding out the setup was a Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, a recent addition that Poston credited with helping him flight the ball more effectively in the wind.

J.T. Poston’s victory adds another impressive milestone to a career built on resilience and steady progression. After earning his PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour pathway, the North Carolina native announced himself with a bogey-free victory at the 2019 Wyndham Championship before adding titles at the 2022 John Deere Classic and the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open. The Memorial Tournament crown further reinforces his reputation as one of the Tour’s most reliable shot-makers, proving that patience, accuracy, and a dependable putter can still prevail against the game’s biggest stars.
