Erin Hills: America’s Heartland Masterpiece of Golf
Matt Wallace needed a play-off to win the Omega European Masters at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre in the Swiss Alps. Here’s his club set-up.
The 34-year-old started the final round with a four-shot lead but needed to win a play-off against Alfredo Garcia-Heredia to claim the trophy. Both had finished on 11 under.
It’s his fifth DP World Tour title and first since the 2018 Made in Denmark. The victory also gives him the lead in the race to qualify for Europe’s next Ryder Cup team.
Located in Crans-Montana in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre is perhaps the most spectacular venue on the DP World Tour schedule. Played on the Severiano Ballesteros championship course, the tournament was founded as the Swiss Open in 1923.
