Finding the right Putting Aid can take your golf game to a whole new level. They are designed to cure certain issues you have with your putting, whether it’s club face position at impact, your alignment, swing path, posture, or grip. Here’s our pick of the best.
Poor alignment is one of the major causes of missed putts. Using the Alignment Mirror will help give you confidence on the green. Place it on the ground, and then you can check your shoulder alignment, your putter face alignment, and eye position. Then, the Putter Gate Slots let you set up a gate of tees for the toe and heel of the putter so you can learn to swing and create a ‘sweet spot’ contact in the centre of the putter face.
The Dave Pelz Putting Tutor is your all-in-one tool to better putting. This putting alignment aid’s design shows you how to putt on the proper line, improves your green reading, squares the putter face to your target line, and enhances your mechanics. You can set it to three difficulty levels. The product works well both indoors and outdoors thanks to metal weights that prevent it from shifting.
This classic putting aid will help with one the most common problems golfers face: getting your putter to swing on the right path. The Putting Arc gives you simple and effective feedback on your swing path. You can run the heel of the putter along the rail to ensure your club face stays square to the path throughout your stroke.
The aid encourages you to not ‘hit’ your putts, but rather roll them like a wheel. It does this in three steps. Firstly, it helps with your line of sight. When you are standing above the ball, you will be able to tell if you are on or off line, helping you to take aim at your target. It then helps with your set-up by making sure you’re getting your eyes over the ball. The PutterWheel’s red sidewalls tell you if you are too far or too close to the ball. It then helps with your stroke by encouraging you to make a rolling stroke as you would to get a wheel rolling. If your stroke is not square to the direction of the PutterWheel, it immediately tells you by wobbling off the club face.
Tour String is a compact and easy way to practice all the fundamentals of the putting stroke. It’s easy to use and can be set up on all putting surfaces and fits easily in any pocket of your golf bag. It consists of two 9-inch Tour Sticks connected by a 12-foot alignment string. Just find a straight putt on any putting surface, then insert one end of Tour String behind the cup. Then Insert the opposite end in the ground and once the string is taught, you can use it as a guide for your putting stroke. For breaking putts, find the correct line of the putt and move the string to the correct position.
