Jon Rahm is the fourth Spanish golfer to win the Masters, finishing on 12-under at Augusta National, four ahead of Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson. Here’s the club set-up he used.
The 28-year-old carded a 3-under 69 to finish clear of Koepka who had led by two going into the final round. Koepka ended up in joint second with Mickelson who shot a brilliant 7-under 65 to close on eight under. Former champions Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed were a shot further back.
This season Rahm has won The Sentry Tournament of Champions, The American Express, and the Genesis Invitational – and winning the Masters has taken him back to the No. 1 spot in the world rankings.
He’s joins Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal and Sergio Garcia as Spanish Green Jacket winners – and fittingly Rahm won it on his hero Seve’s birthday.
Just six months after announcing his move to become a Callaway player, Rahm became a major champion by winning the US Open in June 2021.
Still a Callaway staffer, Rahm played at Augusta with the brand’s new Paradym driver and woods. Callaway recently launched their new Paradym range of clubs, offering three models which it says overcome the usual trade-off between distance and forgiveness.
There are three drivers and woods to choose from: Paradym, Paradym X, and Paradym Triple Diamond. Rahm went with the Triple Diamond, slightly smaller than the other two, offering the lowest spin with a neutral flight. It’s designed for better players who want to work the ball more.
He then opts for the Callaway Apex TCB irons from 4-iron down to pitching wedge, while his three wedges are the Callaway Jaws Forged model. He then uses an Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S putter, and rounds off his bag with the Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball.
