Nelly Korda clinched her second major title and fifth successive tournament win at the Chevron Championship. Here’s her equipment set-up.
The world No. 1’s win at The Woodlands in Texas meant she tied the record for the most consecutive LPGA wins, equalling Nancy Lopez in 1978 and Annika Sorenstam between 2004-05.
The American, whose first major title win came at the Women’s PGA Championship in 2021, shot a three-under 69 to finish on 13 under, two shots ahead of Sweden’s Maja Stark and a further stroke ahead of American Lauren Coughlin.
This season the 25-year-old won the first of her five consecutive titles at the LPGA Drive On Championship in January.
There are five majors in the women’s game, one more than in men’s golf. Three are in the United States, one in the UK and one in France.
Chevron Championship: April 18-21, The Woodlands, Texas
US Women’s Open: May 30-June 2, Lancaster Country Club, Pennsylvania
KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: June 20-23, Sahalee Country Club, Washington
Evian Championship: July 11-14, Evian Resort Golf Club, France
AIG Women’s Open: August 22-25, St. Andrews, Scotland
Korda signed a multi-year equipment deal with TaylorMade Golf in January 2023 to use the brand’s clubs.
At the top of her bag she uses the TaylorMade’s Qi10 Max driver. It’s one of the most forgiving drivers in golf with a moment of inertia of 10,000. MOI is a club’s forgiveness which helps mitigate direction and ball speed loss on mis-hits. Korda averages 272 yards off the tee.
She mixes her bag slightly with a PING G425 hybrid and a Titleist Vokey wedge, and her putter is a prototype Scotty Cameron TourType Squareback 2, a larger blade model she has used for over two years.
