As Titleist celebrates the 25th anniversary of its groundbreaking Pro V1 series, the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls are set to redefine performance standards for golfers worldwide. Building upon a legacy that began in 2000, these new models incorporate cutting-edge technology to deliver enhanced speed, control, and consistency on the course.

The original Pro V1 debuted in October 2000 at the Invensys Classic in Las Vegas, where 47 players immediately adopted the ball, including the event’s champion, Billy Andrade. This marked a significant shift in golf ball technology, combining exceptional distance with superior control. Since then, Pro V1 and Pro V1x have dominated professional tours, being played in competition over 97,000 times on the PGA TOUR alone.

While specific technical details of the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x remain under wraps, early feedback from professional golfers indicates notable improvements:
Increased Ball Speed: Players like Lee Hodges have reported gains of approximately 1.5 mph in ball speed with every club, contributing to longer distances off the tee and with irons.
Enhanced Consistency: The new models exhibit improved performance on off-center hits, maintaining trajectory and accuracy better than their predecessors. This consistency is crucial for golfers seeking to minimize errors during play.
Refined Feel and Control: Golfers have noted a softer feel around the greens, with increased spin rates providing better control on chip and pitch shots. This enhancement allows for more precise shot-making in the short game.

The seeding and validation process for the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x began at the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas, the same venue where the original Pro V1 was introduced. Titleist provided every player the opportunity to test the new models, with many making immediate switches. Notably, the winner of the ZOZO Championship used the 2025 Pro V1x, and the champion of The RSM Classic secured victory in his first week with the 2025 Pro V1.

The 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x are expected to be available in golf shops starting January 25, 2025. Golfers can anticipate a continuation of Titleist’s commitment to excellence, with these new models offering advancements that cater to the evolving demands of the game.
As the Pro V1 series enters its 25th year, Titleist’s relentless pursuit of innovation ensures that golfers at all levels have access to equipment that enhances performance and elevates the golfing experience.
