Here’s what world number one Justin Thomas is carrying in his golf bag. The American already has three tournament wins in 2020, at the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, the CJ Cup in South Korea, and the WGC-St Jude Invitational in Memphis.
The 26-year-old has used Titleist equipment throughout his career and currently has a full bag of the brand’s clubs, including his ball.
Titleist TS3 (Loft 9.5 degrees, B1 setting)
Shaft: Mitsubishi Diamana ZF 60 TX (44 7/8″)
Thomas is considered a long hitter on the PGA Tour and is currently ranked T-47 in driving distance with an average of 302.2 yards. He currently uses Titleist’s TS3 driver which he first put in his bag at the 2019 US Open.
3-Wood: Titleist TS3 (15 degrees, A1 setting)
Shaft: Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 80 TX
5-Wood Titleist 915 Fd (18 degrees @ 19.5, B3 SureFit setting)
Shaft: Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 9.2 Tour Spec X
As well as the TS3 driver, Thomas also has a TS3 3-wood in the bag alongside his 915Fd 5-wood. He has also been seen testing Titleist’s new U500 utility iron but doesn’t have it in the bag at the moment. This might change depending on the course and weather conditions.
Titleist T100 (4), Titleist 620 MB (5-9)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100
The 2017 USPGA Champion, his only major win to date, uses a brand new Titleist T100 4-iron and has upgraded to the Titleist 620 MB blade irons from 5-9-iron.
Titleist Vokey Design Raw SM7 (46, 52 and 56 degrees); Titleist Vokey Design WedgeWorks (60 degrees)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 (46), True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 (52-60)
In his wedge setup, Thomas is yet to change to the Titleist Vokey SM8 and still uses the SM7 model which he has at 46°, 52°, 56°, while his lob wedge is a slightly modified SM6 model tweaked to 60.5°.
Scotty Cameron X5.5 Tour Prototype
Thomas putts with a four-year-old Scotty Cameron X5 mallet. Constructed with a precision-milled 303 stainless steel body and an aluminium sole, it features a modern, angled, wing back mallet design and utilizes vertical and horizontal sight lines for alignment.
This season he has been seen testing a Phantom X prototype with the same head style, and a Scotty Cameron Timeless blade. But he has for now settled on his usual Scotty X5.5 head-shape.
Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord (woods, irons and wedges); SuperStroke Pistol GT Tour (putter)
Thomas plays the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, the number one golf ball used on the PGA Tour.
