The Els Club Vilamoura: Golfing Grandeur in the Algarve

Adam Scott recorded his first PGA Tour win in four years last season, the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in California. He did it using a bag full of Titleist equipment.
The Australian has been a Titleist brand ambassador throughout his 20-year professional career. Let’s take a closer look at the clubs the 2013 Masters champion is carrying in his golf bag.
Titleist TS4 (10.5 degrees, A1 SureFit setting, 2-gram weight)
Shaft: Mitsubishi Kuro Kage XTS 80 X

The 40-year-old changed to the TS4 at the ZoZo Championship in Tokyo in October. Since then he has won twice, at the Australian PGA on the European Tour in December and the Genesis in February. He had previously been using the TS2 and TS3 models. Scott also put a new shaft on the driver ahead of the Genesis, the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage XTS 80 X.
“Adam Scott switched to the TS4 driver at the ZoZo Championship due to head size, shape, and improved launch to spin ratios,” Titleist’s lead Tour rep J.J. Van Wezenbeeck said in February. “This week, after discussions with Adam, he went to a shaft he had previously played for increased stability.”
Titleist TS2 (16.5 degrees, A1 SureFit setting)
Shaft: Fujikura Rombax P95 X
Scott’s fairway wood used to be the Titleist 915F which he had at a loft of 16.5 degrees, but he has now gone for Titleist’s new TS2 fairway wood.
Titleist 716 T-MB (3-iron), Titleist 680 (4-9 irons)
Shafts: KBS Tour 130 X

Scott chooses to put an older model 3-iron, the Titleist 716 T-MB, in the bag rather than a hybrid. His Titleist 680 Forged irons, which run from 4-iron to 9-iron, are also an older model. But he’s comfortable using them.
“They are pretty trusty, the old 680 irons, and they’ve been out a long, long time,” Scott said. “They have a fair bit of offset compared to some irons today and the blade is a little bit longer. I probably use a set every 18 months or so, so I’ve gone through a few sets over the years.”
Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (48.08F, 52.08F, 56.10S), Vokey Design SM8 WedgeWorks (60.06K)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold AMT Tour Issue X100
Scott carries four Titleist Vokey SM8 wedges ranging from 48 to 60 degrees at four degree increments.
Scotty Cameron Xperimental Rev X11

Scott used an anchored putting stroke with a broomhandle style putter until that method was outlawed in 2016. Since then he has had ups and down with this club and has not been afraid to experiment.
He used a new Scotty Cameron prototype, changing from his usual Scotty Cameron Select Kombi CS long. He then used a 2.1 model made by Directed Force and a Scotty Cameron SC-X prototype. Right now he is favouring the Scotty Cameron Xperimental Rev X11 putter.
