Love on the Links: Most Romantic Golf Getaways in Europe for Valentine’s Day

During this week’s interview we had a nice chat with David Winandy, a passionate golfer from Luxembourg who regularly represents his country in international championships. David plays at Golf de Preisch in France and enjoys using the All Square app to discover the golf courses his friends play.
1. ABOUT GOLF
To start, can you tell us how you first got into golf?
Well, it was when my father started playing golf in 1989 at the opening of Kikuoka Golf and Country Club in Luxembourg. I just had to stop playing tennis, soccer and basketball because of health problems.
Your funniest golf experience?
It was with my father in Golf de Moliets on the 9th hole. His ball was against a tree and he had to get it up and down to win the hole. The shot was in my eyes impossible, but he managed to turn his club, play the ball like a left hander over the bunker and left himself 5 cm for par. I couldn’t stop laughing….even if I lost the hole.
What are your thoughts on golf being back at the Olympics?
I think it is a fantastic thing for golf, but I wish every country could participate, not only the best players in the world.
Your top 3 golf courses?
Valderrama, Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita and Morfontaine.
What is the golf pairing of your dreams?
Playing a round with Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
