Golfing in Biarritz – A Timeless Experience
Jordan Spieth and Tom Kim feature on the all-time youngest PGA Tour winners countdown, but not Tiger Woods – though he does feature in the post-1990 list along with Rory McIlroy.
The modern PGA Tour was not formally established until 1968, but it recognizes wins from the 1900s onwards, during various iterations of U.S. professional golf, as ‘PGA Tour’ victories. The players below are from the United States unless specified.
10: Matthew Wolff – 20 years, 2 months, 23 days (2019 3M Open)
9: Ralph Guldahl – 20 years, 2 months, 9 days (1932 Arizona Open)
8: Joohyung ‘Tom’ Kim (KOR) – 20 years, 1 month, 17 days (2022 Wyndham Championship)
7: Charles Evans Jr. (amateur) – 20 years, 1 month, 15 days (1910 Western Open)
6: Gene Sarazen – 20 years, 5 days (1922 Southern Open)
5: Jordan Spieth – 19 years, 11 months, 17 days (2013 John Deere Classic)
4: Johnny McDermott – 19 years, 10 months, 14 days (1911 U.S. Open)
3: Ralph Guldahl – 19 years, 8 months, 3 days (1931 Santa Monica Open)
2: Harry Cooper – 19 years, 4 days (1923 Galveston Open)
1: Charles Kocsis – 18 years, 6 months, 9 days (1931 Michigan Open)
Charles Kocsis was only recognized as the all-time youngest ever winner in recent years following research by the PGA Tour. From Detroit, he won the first of his three Michigan Open titles in 1931 when he was just 18 years old.
Jordan Spieth (5th), Joohyung ‘Tom’ Kim (8th), and Matthew Wolff (10th) are the only golfers to have won a PGA Tour event after 1990 to feature on the all-time list. Here are the youngest winners on the PGA Tour since 1990.
10: Rory McIlroy (NIR) – 20 years, 11 months, 28 days (2010 Quail Hollow Championship)
9: Seve Ballesteros (ESP) – 20 years, 11 months, 24 days (1978 Greater Greensboro Open)

7: Tiger Woods – 20 years, 9 months, 20 days (1996 Walt Disney World Classic)
6: Tiger Woods – 20 years, 9 months, 6 days (1996 Las Vegas Invitational)
5: Phil Mickelson (amateur) – 20 years, 6 months, 28 days (1991 Northern Telecom Open)
4: Joohyung ‘Tom’ Kim (KOR) – 20 years, 3 months, 18 days (2022 Shriners Children’s Open)

1: Jordan Spieth – 19 years, 11 months, 17 days (2013 John Deere Classic)
Jordan Spieth became the youngest player to win a PGA Tour event since 1931 when he won a five-hole, sudden-death playoff against defending champion Zach Johnson and David Hearn at the 2013 John Deere Classic.
