Masters 2026: Augusta National Course Preview & FAQ

Bud Cauley finally achieved a breakthrough moment on the PGA Tour, capturing his first career victory at the 2026 RBC Canadian Open after years of perseverance and resilience. The American closed with a superb final-round 65 at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, finishing at 17-under-par and securing a two-shot victory over Matt Fitzpatrick. A spectacular stretch of birdies on the back nine, highlighted by a memorable chip-in at the 12th hole, helped Cauley separate himself from the field and complete one of the most inspiring stories of the season.

The equipment in Cauley’s bag played a significant role throughout the week. He relied on a Titleist GTS2 driver, a Titleist GTS3 fairway wood, a Titleist U505 utility iron, a combination of Titleist T250 and 620 MB irons, and a full set of Vokey SM11 wedges. A Titleist Pro V1x golf ball completed a setup built around precision ball-striking and consistent distance control, qualities that were on full display during his winning performance in Canada.

Long regarded as one of the most talented players of his generation, Bud Cauley turned professional in 2011 after a standout amateur career at the University of Alabama. His journey has included numerous close calls, injuries, and a serious car accident in 2018 that threatened to derail his career. After years of rehabilitation and determination, the 36-year-old’s victory at the RBC Canadian Open serves as a fitting reward for his persistence and establishes a new chapter in a career that many believed was destined for PGA Tour success.
