All Square, the award-winning social platform for golfers is now available on Android devices. The aim of the app is to become the world’s leading marketplace and social network for golfers.
Having originally been developed as web and iOS platforms; the team behind the app has decided to take the product further by opening it up to the Android market too. With over 33,000 golf courses listed on the app there is an exciting world of top-class facilities ready to be discovered. The app will be available to users through the Google Play Store as of the 1st May 2016.
Initially launched with reduced features to facilitate the user experience, users will be able to create their personal profile to connect with other existing users and share their most memorable highlights by posting photos and videos. The most popular feature of the iOS app will finally be available for Android users who will now be able to check-in to courses they visit to easily keep track of all the courses they’ve played. Rating courses and exchanging travel recommendations with an international community of golfers are also among the first available features.
Patrick Rahme, cofounder and CEO of All Square said: ‘We felt that it was time to build on the success we’ve had with iOS devices and develop the app for Android. Technologies are shaping the future of the game and All Square wants to have a positive impact on the golf industry. Think of the app as an extension of the clubhouse where golfers can find playing partners, explore the next best courses to play and share their golfing highlights.’
The expansion of the app means that golfers will have more friends playing and rating courses. This, in turn, makes users of the app more knowledgeable about what courses are out there for them to discover. All Square continue to develop the service they provide and this latest launch is another step in this process. Having worked to improve the web platform they now plan on undergoing a process of updating the iOS app to make it even more functional and exciting.
