McLaren Golf: What Golfers Need to Know About the F1 Team’s New Equipment Brand

Andrew Novak celebrated a major milestone in his professional career with a commanding victory at the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open, claiming his first individual PGA Tour title and second Tour victory overall. Competing at Vidanta Vallarta in Mexico, the American delivered an outstanding performance, finishing at 25-under-par after rounds of 67, 61, 62, and 69. His five-shot victory was highlighted by exceptional ball-striking, confident putting, and remarkable consistency throughout the tournament.

Novak’s winning equipment setup featured a carefully selected combination of clubs from several leading manufacturers. He relied on a Ping driver, complemented by a TaylorMade 3-wood and Ping 5-wood. His iron setup combined a Srixon iron with Srixon ZXi7 irons from 5-iron through pitching wedge, while Cleveland wedges provided versatility around the greens. However, one of the most interesting clubs in his bag was an old T.P. Mills Prototype putter, which played a crucial role in his victory. After struggling with his putting earlier in the season, Andrew Novak rediscovered the well-worn blade putter and used it to lead the field in strokes gained putting in Mexico.

Novak’s journey to PGA Tour success has been built on perseverance and steady improvement. A former standout at Wofford College, he turned professional in 2017 and worked his way through the Korn Ferry Tour before establishing himself on golf’s biggest stage. His breakthrough came at the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he partnered with Ben Griffin to secure his maiden PGA Tour victory. The 2026 Mexico Open triumph marked another important chapter in his career, proving his ability to win individually against a competitive field. With renewed confidence and a distinctive mix of modern equipment and trusted classics, Andrew Novak continues to establish himself as a formidable competitor on the PGA Tour.
