Spain is a country that is packed with fantastic golf courses, so in this crowded market it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. However, there are some destinations so special that they are more of a complete experience, La Reserva Club is one such place.
Life in Sotogrande goes at a slower pace. The first thing you notice is the setting. La Reserva Club takes pride of place atop the exclusive Sotogrande leisure and real estate destination at the southern most point of Andalusia. The panoramic views of the hilltop setting makes for an incredible backdrop to the Cabell B. Robinson-designed course.
The golf course has hosted many prestigious tournaments since it opened in 2003. As you make your way around the generous fairways of La Reserva Club you will be afforded beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and Gran Reserva, Sotogrande’s highest point.
This must play championship golf course is 6721m in length and a par-72. The intelligently designed course has five teeing options that ensure you will be able to play a course suited to your level. You will be presented with a course that you can score well around and you’ll walk to the clubhouse with a smile on your face when you’re finished.
La Reserva Club is a dynamic facility: they are constantly reviewing their amenities and ehancing what they offer. An example of this is the new golf academy. This is a great asset to help you hone your skills whilst you visit La Reserva Club.
Manuel Piñero had a strong career on tour including nine wins. His achievements include wining the British PGA Championship in 1977, five top-tens on the European Tour Order of Merit, and two Ryder Cup appearances.
“La Reserva Club is undoubtedly a magnificent golf course, first-class. And the clubhouse and its services are of the same superior standard. Here my ambition is to contribute my experience to help achieve excellence. This, after all, is the goal for all of us who are involved in the project. I will use my knowledge to improve whichever aspects I believe can be improved” – Manuel Piñero
So, you’ve come finished your day at golf, you’ve played on a fantastic course and now you want to relax. La Reserva Club’ s destination restaurant, L’Olive, is the perfect setting. Here you will find authentic Spanish food that you can feast on as you discuss your round.
Under the meticulous stewardship of Parisian maître Olivier Claude de Paepe and Head chef, Christina Gutierrez Bergue, you will be treated to some of the finest Andalusian and European cuisine to be found in this part of southwest Spain. L’Olive has just unveiled its spring / summer menu. Its Catalan, Basque and Spanish culinary influences were designed by Jaime Pérez, protégé of the legendary Ferran Adrià, and Ms Gutiérrez.
The Gastronomic experience awaiting you will cap-off a perfect day.
A trip to La Reserva Club and Sotogrande is one that will stay with you for many years and no doubt you will want to visit time and again. With an ever-changing activity list and some of the best facilities around, you are ensured a great experience.
