How to Build the Perfect Golf & Wine Vacation in Spain

During this week’s interview, we had a nice conversation with Robby Wittlin, a passionate golfer who enjoys using All Square. Find out how his wife got him into golf, what happened after having hit a ball down in a canyon and his favorite courses.
1. ABOUT GOLF
To start, can you tell us how you first got into golf?
My wife got me into golf! One day she came up with an offer for a trial course. We decided to go to it together! The result is that today I am still playing and my wife started blaming.
What would make golf more fun?
I would suggest to introduce easier rules for amateurs to make the game a little faster in general. Slow play is really annoying.
Your funniest golf experience?
During a round I hit my first ball down in a canyon, the second one in the water hazard, the third one far too long so that it went out of bounds and the fourth one straight in the hole. It would have been a nice eagle on a par 4…
What is the golf flight of your dreams (living or dead)?
Jiménez with enough cigars, McDowell with some Single Malt and Mickelson with a 70° wedge.
2. ABOUT ALL SQUARE
How did you first discover All Square?
Honestly, I can’t recall – I think through the ASGI (Association Suisse des Golfeurs Indépendants) website.
Complete the sentence: What I like the most about All Square is … the simplicity and nice design of the website.
Your favorite feature on All Square?
Showing courses you have played around the world and comparing with your friends. I also like reading reviews about courses before choosing the next course I’d like to play.
What are your 3 favorite courses?
My 3 favorite courses are : Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria, Appenzeller Golf Gonten in Switzerland and Montgomerie Maxx Royal in Belek.
3. RAPID FIRE, OFF THE CUFF QUESTIONS
Hitting long drive or sinking long putt?
Sinking longs putts, what else!
Having the round of your life or make a hole-in-one?
Make a hole-in-one!
Early morning or late afternoon tee off?
This definitely depends on the night before.
The coolest player on Tour?
Who else has the “bravery” to light a big fat cigar on the putting green in midst of a crowd of nonsmokers in a nonsmoking country – the one and only Miguel Angel Jiménez.
4. WHAT’S IN ROBBY WITTLIN’S BAG
