W Costa Navarino has now become the latest 5-star luxury resort to open at Costa Navarino, Greece‘s premier destination for golfers, marking the debut of the W Hotels brand in the country.
Opened this August, W Costa Navarino is a chic and contemporary lifestyle retreat set within a scenic 32-acre site along 1,500 feet of sandy shoreline overlooking the historic Bay of Navarino in the Greek Peloponnese.
With the addition of this wonderful new resort, Costa Navarino as a whole is now home to three 5-star resorts – soon to become four with the opening of the 5-star Mandarin Oriental in 2023.
Costa Navarino also boasts four signature golf courses, all within 13km of each other. Designed by Jose Maria Olazabal, Robert Trent Jones Jnr, and Bernhard Langer, they are regarded as the finest in Greece.

W Costa Navarino exclusively welcomes adults and young adults over 12 years old, and offers 246 stylish rooms, suites and beachfront villas.
The options range from Fabulous Bay and Infinity swim-up rooms, with a pool shared with friends or family in adjoining rooms, to superb one or two-bedroom WOW suites with their own pools, and two or three-bedroom WOW or Extreme WOW villas with expanded private pools – ideal for larger groups.
There’s a destination Beach Club, a signature Water Sports Centre offering activities such as paddle-boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing, tennis courts, a wellness area with AWAY® Spa and FIT gym, five dining venues serving inventive yet authentic cuisine, and a range of experiences.
With a distinctive design inspired by traditional Greek coastal villages, the resort’s architecture is linked together by lush greenery and is the newest integrated site, known as Navarino Waterfront, to join the destination of Costa Navarino.

W Costa Navarino is home to a number of culinary options. Platia is an area which replicates the informal feel of a deli food market with four individual ‘grab ’n go’ outlets. W Lounge offers a globally inspired menu alongside a range of cocktails, and there’s a cafe, a deli, a bakery, and an open-style kitchen which hosts visiting chefs and pop-ups.
The Beach Club, named Parelia, is the resort’s social hotspot, offering great food and drink, lounging, swimming, and evening entertainment with a resident DJ, while The Between Bar is a chic and elegant venue overlooking the sea serving cocktails and light dinner delicacies, making this the ideal sunset beach bar.
The WET Deck features a gorgeous infinity pool with views across the Ionian Sea and beyond, while the AWAY® Spa offers an extensive menu of indulgent treatments. If you want to work out, the FIT gym has a 25-meter outdoor heated swimming pool and the latest gym equipment.
W Costa Navarino also offers a programme of classes and wellness experiences designed for any fitness level, including beach boot-camp classes, yoga sessions, meditation practice and Pilates.
Costa Navarino is located in the region of Messinia in the Peloponnese area of southwest Greece with Kalamata airport only a 45 minutes’ drive away. Athens airport is just over three hours from the destination, along a fantastic new highway financed by the European Union.
The opulent, eco-friendly collection of resorts at Costa Navarino are blessed with panoramic sea and mountain views and surrounded by unspoiled greek countryside. There are four distinct sites. The first, Navarino Dunes, is home to two luxury hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino, along with The Dunes golf course.
The second, Navarino Bay, is home to The Bay golf course and is set to welcome the Mandarin Oriental in 2023. This area is close to the new site, Navarino Waterfront, now home to W Costa Navarino. Finally, Navarino Hills is set high above the coastline with panoramic Ionian Sea views and two brand new 18-hole signature golf courses.
Each guest at Costa Navarino has access to the resort’s total of 23 dining venues plus a wealth of outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, hiking, biking, tennis, and golf. Then there’s Navarino Agora, a market-place with artisanal street food, select retail outlets, outdoor music, on-screen entertainment and nightlife venues which host international DJs and musicians.

Costa Navarino’s two original signature golf courses, The Dunes, opened in 2010 and designed by two-time US Masters champion Bernhard Langer, and The Bay, opened a year later and designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr, are considered the top two layouts in Greece.
They have now been joined by two brand new signature courses designed by two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal: the International Olympic Academy Golf Course, and The Hills.
There’s also the Navarino Golf Academy with its full-size driving range, putting green and short-game practice area, along with expert tuition supported by the latest technology.
Make Costa Navarino the first stop on your next golfing odyssey.
