Ryan Fox secured his second DP World Tour title of the season by winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the Old Course at St Andrews. Let’s delve into his golf bag.
The New Zealander carded a final round 68 to finish on 15-under, a shot ahead of Sweden’s Alex Noren and Englishman Callum Shinkwin, with Rory McIlroy and Antoine Rozner of France in a tie for fourth.
It’s his second win on Tour this year after winning the Ras Al Khaimah Classic in the United Arab Emirates in February.
The 35-year-old is a Srixon staffer, playing with a full bag of the brand’s clubs and the Z-Star XV golf ball – though he does use a TaylorMade SIM 3-wood. Fox is one of the game’s big hitters, averaging 315.44 yards from the tee, while hitting 44 percent of fairways.
Fox’s victory continues a great year for Srixon golf balls. Shane Lowry recently won the BMW PGA Championship using the Srixon Z-Star XV, while the Z-Star was used by Ashleigh Buhai when she won the AIG Women’s Open at Muirfield. Lowry and Buhai are Srixon staffers too, but like Fox they have the flexibility of using clubs by other brands in their golf bag.
