Located on top of coastal cliffs along Bulgaria‘s Black Sea coast with views of the beautiful Cape Kaliakra, BlackSeaRama is home to a stunning Gary Player-designed championship golf course set within a gated residential estate of deluxe villas.
The resort boasts a golf academy, wellness centre, four restaurants, and is just minutes away from two other world-class courses, designed by Ian Woosnam and another by Player. With more than 260 days a year sunshine, beautiful surroundings and first-class facilities, BlackSeaRama is a great holiday destination for golfers and non-golfers alike.
The international airport at the city of Varna is just over an hours’ drive away, while Vienna, Prague and other major European Cities are under a two hours’ flight away.

“BlackSeaRama is a special golf course – you have to see it to believe it!” said Player, the legendary South African golfer – and he’s not wrong. Set 200 metres above the sea, it’s a classic links course with fantastic views. When it opened in 2008, it was the first championship signature golf course in Bulgaria.
Player has crafted a challenging 18-hole, 7,720-yard course layout from relatively flat and open terrain where the wind plays a significant role. There’s plentiful green-side bunkering and three lakes, but It’s extremely playable and invites players to post a good score. 2009 Masters champion Angel Cabrera said this was the best course Player has designed.
Just a five minutes’ drive away is Player’s other course, Thracian Cliffs, one of the most dramatic courses you’ll ever play. And next to BlackSeaRama is Woosnam’s Lighthouse course which has breathtaking views.

The elegant Clubhouse, at the heart of the resort, is built in a Tuscan style. It’s well appointed with a Pro Shop, relaxation centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. It also has a bar with a terrace overlooking the sea and two restaurants. At its front is an incredible stage area which extends over the cliffs’ edge above the sea, creating an open amphitheatre.
Combining outdoor facilities with indoor learning studios, the Golf Academy offers a comprehensive learning experience covering all aspects of the game. There’s a driving range, a short game area, practice greens with bunkers, covered bays and a simulator. There’s also the Kids Golf Academy, which offers group lessons for children aged 6-12 every Saturday between June and August.

The resort features luxurious villas and apartments for sale or rent. The residential area consists of one or two-storey buildings in four districts across the resort. All accommodation has five-star hotel service.
The Green Villas, with course and sea views, feature infinity pools and fully equipped kitchens, making them deal holiday homes. The Individual Villas, with course, sea and lake views, are private retreats with individual outdoor swimming pools.
The Bell Tower residential area, close to hole 3 of the golf course, consists of detached or semi-detached houses with the use of two swimming pools. The Suites, on the edge of the cliff close to the Clubhouse, have sea and course views with terraces and access to a communal swimming pool.
The Wellness Centre is a relaxing space for those seeking luxury and harmony, with various spa, massage and therapy treatments. Pamper yourself with with wines, aromas of herbal water or essences of honey under the care of specialists. There’s also invigorating Eco products selected from the Black Sea region.

The Bistro in the Clubhouse offers quality casual dining and drinks after a day on the course. Lake Taverna, next to Hole 3, features selected Balkan and Mediterranean cuisine and BBQ, and Pizzeria La Campana, near the Bell Tower area, offers pizza and pasta and terrace dining. In July and August BlackSeaRama will be hosting a Chefs Tour: a special gourmet weekend dinners with famous chefs.
Marea Bar provides an intimate and relaxing atmosphere for those enjoying a glass of their favourite drink, and the Wine Cellar is a wine and liquor tasting venue located at the Clubhouse.

BlackSeaRama has two tennis courts, a professional gym, as well as cycling, table tennis and a fishing lake.
The area is home to several beaches just a short drive away. Transfers to and from the beaches can be arranged for you. White Lagoon is a lovely spot where you can enjoy various water sports, there’s the secluded Bendida Beach for exclusive relaxation, and Golden Sands is often named among the best sandy beaches in Europe.
