ALL SQUARE the social media platform for golfers is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Innovation Award at the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) Golf Business Conference in Amsterdam.
The annual event hosted by the EGCOA is a once a year opportunity to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments in the European and worldwide golf arena. On average 150-200 (multi) golf course owners, managers and industry professionals from around Europe attend the conference. The theme of the 2016 conference was ‘The BIG Opportunity’ and its aim was to develop new ways to increase business during the current social and economic climates.
This year’s Innovation Award highlighted the latest trends in European golf to find the most profitable and exciting opportunities to attract new customer groups and increase revenues in golf clubs. The nominees for the award were Mike O’Connor of UK Footgolf, Dan Killen of SNAG Golf, Carsten Volpert of City Golf Europe, Martine Martens of Golf Academy Anderstein and Patrick Rahme of All Square. Each of the companies nominated for the award had an opportunity to pitch their business to the attendees who then voted for the company they liked best.
The event, held just outside Amsterdam, was a great success for All Square and this marks another great accolade for the startup.
Lodewijk Klootwijk, President of the EGCOA, said “one of the core values of golf, the key aspect to ensuring new players return, is its ability to form a unique social connection between players. It is a sport that is all about relationship building. Whilst existing social media platforms have helped golfers meet and socialise, All Square is the first I have come across that really builds on the distinctive social experience the game provides. I think it a very fitting winner for this year’s EGCOA Innovation Award”.
