Book a winter golf trip with All Square to Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus and get to play at four world-class courses bathed in warm sunshine.
Aphrodite Hills is one of the standout golf resorts in this region, home to the PGA National Course, the first and only golf course in Cyprus to carry the prestigious PGA title. It’s a five-star haven of tranquility with 290 elegant guest rooms and suites, as well as luxurious villas and apartments. Set on a plateau in scenic countryside overlooking the Mediterranean coastline, it’s just 15 minutes from Paphos and just over an hour from Larnaca International Airport.
Cyprus is blessed with a perfect Mediterranean climate for golfers during winter with temperatures around 17°C with plenty of sunshine. Most of the major golf courses and resorts are located along the southwest coast, close to the city of Paphos with its maze of bars and restaurants and several UNESCO World Heritage historical sites.

The guest rooms, suites and family suites come with all modern amenities and private terraces or balconies with a choice of pool and gardens, golf course or sea views, with swim-up communal or private pools. The resort also offers an extensive range of holiday homes, perfect for larger groups, including fully-serviced luxury villas and apartments that come with private balconies or terraces and communal or private pools.

At the heart of the resort in the Village Square where you can find a coffee shop and bakery and a host of restaurants including the Greek Cypriot Pithari Tavern with its lovely terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. In all, there are 13 restaurants and lounges at the resort serving international cuisine including Mexican, Mediterranean, Asian, Indian and Italian, and 8 bars including lounge and pool bars, cocktail bars and a pub.
For families, the resort’s dedicated children’s club offers supervised activities for kids of all ages. There’s a junior tennis academy, Dream Team soccer school, horse riding at the Pony Club, and the Retreat Spa which has created exclusive treatments for kids aged 8-15, including the Mother & Chid Pamper Package.

The Retreat Spa is a fabulous wellness retreat that offers a host of treatments to soothe body and mind, as well as a Hammam, saunas, steam bath, Jacuzzi and a relaxation pool. The resort also boasts a fitness center and tennis academy with five hard courts, four clay courts and three padel courts. There’s also horseback riding, hiking trails and scenic cycling routes.
The stay-and-play packages at Aphrodite Hills include rounds of golf at the PGA National Course as well as Secret Valley, Elea and Minthis golf clubs. Designed by Cabell Robinson, the PGA National Course opened in 2002 and is a stunning clifftop course overlooking the ocean, split into two by a large canyon that comes into play on the spectacular 3rd and 7th holes.

Lined with olive and carob trees and weaving through the resort, this parkland layout is blessed with incredible views and is widely seen as the best-conditioned golf course on the entire island. The superb facilities don’t stop there with the Golf Academy offering a wide variety of lessons from PGA Professionals using the latest technology. There’s also a 350-meter driving range with targets and a variety of short-game practice areas.

Secret Valley Golf Club – Just 2km from Aphrodite Hills is Secret Valley Golf Club, redesigned in 2013 by four-time Ryder Cup captain Tony Jacklin. This par-71 layout plays through a spectacular rocky valley with mature trees and shrubs adorning the lower holes, while the upper terrain provides stunning ocean views.

Elea Golf Club – About 20km up the coast is Elea Golf Club, designed by six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo. Opened in 2010, there’s an abundance of large bunkering, lovely views and sloping manicured fairways. The club has a superb tiered clubhouse, the Elea Golf Academy and a full-length driving range.

Minthis Golf Club – Just a few minutes from Elea is Minthis Golf Club, designed by Donald Steel and renovated by Mackenzie & Ebert, spectacularly set in a picturesque valley overlooking the Troodos Mountains. The par-3 13th signature hole requires a tee shot played to the only island green surrounded by water in Cyprus.
