Srixon has started the 2025 season on a high note, celebrating a major victory with Hideki Matsuyama’s record-setting performance at The Sentry. Utilizing the latest Z-STAR XV golf ball, Matsuyama showcased its exceptional capabilities by dominating the tournament, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting year for Srixon. Building on this momentum, the brand has unveiled its ninth-generation Z-STAR Series golf balls, a lineup that combines cutting-edge technology, precision engineering, and a commitment to sustainability.

A standout feature of the new Z-STAR Series is the extra-thin urethane cover crafted from biomass materials, specifically Biopolyol extracted from corn. This eco-friendly approach reduces carbon dioxide emissions during manufacturing without compromising the ball’s performance. The cover maintains exceptional greenside spin, feel, and control, aligning with Srixon’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Building upon previous iterations, the latest Z-STAR balls incorporate an improved Spin Skin+ coating. This specialized urethane layer increases friction upon impact, enhancing approach shot and greenside spin. Additionally, a stronger urethane paint improves resistance to dirt and grime, ensuring consistent performance throughout rounds.

At the heart of the new Z-STAR Series is the FastLayer DG Core 2.0, featuring a gradient design that transitions from a soft center to a firm outer edge. This construction optimizes spin and distance, delivering Srixon’s signature feel. Each model in the series has a uniquely formulated core to cater to different player preferences:
Z-STAR: Features a reduced compression at the center, minimizing driver spin for increased distance, softer feel, and enhanced greenside spin.
Z-STAR XV: Incorporates added firmness partway through the core, boosting ball speed for greater distance and improved iron spin.
Z-STAR DIAMOND: With a slightly firmer core and reduced compression, it minimizes driver spin, resulting in exceptional distance off the tee while maintaining greenside spin.

The Z-STAR Series also includes the Z-STAR DIVIDE and Z-STAR XV DIVIDE models, featuring a distinctive two-tone design known as 50/50 Visual Performance. This design enhances visibility and allows golfers to better gauge spin rates, particularly with wedge shots. The 360° seam line aids in alignment and roll on the greens, contributing to improved consistency in crucial aspects of the game.
The 2025 Srixon Z-STAR Series, including the Z-STAR, Z-STAR XV, Z-STAR DIAMOND, and their DIVIDE counterparts, will be available in Pure White and Tour Yellow. For the first time, the Z-STAR DIAMOND will also be offered in Tour Yellow. All models are set to launch on January 24, 2025.
