Château de la Bégude Hotel is a boutique destination for golfers, tucked away in the heart of the Cote d’Azur on the French Riviera with a beautiful 18-hole golf course.
This 4-star haven of relaxation, converted from a 17th-century country house, is located just 10km north of Cannes and combines Provencal charm and state-of-the-art facilities. Nice and Cannes airports are just 20 minutes away.
Perfect for a golf break, there are several beautiful courses within a half-hour radius of the hotel, some by the sea and others threaded through the ancient oaks and olive trees of the rural hinterland.

In a lovely natural setting between mountains and sea, the 41 rooms and suites of the Château de la Bégude Hotel are set in the country house and look out over the stunning gardens and Opio-Valbonne golf course, each with their own individual décor, some with a terrace.
The varied options cater for two or four people, making this hotel perfect for couples, friends or families. All are equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.

La Begude Restaurant is the main dining option, serving Provence-inspired dishes and Mediterranean flavours for lunch and dinner with an outdoor terrace overlooking the golf course. There’s also the relaxing La Terrasse, a rooftop lounge bar by the swimming pool serving food, drinks and cocktails overlooking the 220-hectare grounds.

There’s a spa with three treatment rooms, including rooms for couples, and a steam room, sauna, hammam and whirlpool bath. Services include sports massages, Swedish massages, facials and body scrubs.

The hotel lies next to the 18-hole Opio Valbonne golf course, one of the region’s oldest courses designed in 1966 by English architect Donald Harradine. It’s one of the most popular courses in this region among local players and foreign visitors. It’s a beauty with tree-lined fairways and an open courtyard area that sits between the clubhouse and the hotel. A Roman aqueduct adds even more visual appeal, running along the side of the 18th fairway.

Less than a 10-minute drive away, close to Grasse, the town world famous for its perfumes, is the 18-hole Golf de la Grande Bastide. Designed by Cabell Robinson in the early 1990s, this is another pretty parkland course with wide, gently sloping fairways set around a number of ponds and lakes.

Around an hour away, between Cannes and Saint-Tropez, is the 18-hole golf course at Golf de Roquebrune with its stunning views of the bay of Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël and the Massif des Maures. This is one of the jewels of Côte d’Azur golf, as is the 5-star resort which adjoins it. Its winding, tree-lined fairways, several lakes and incredible views make it a must-play in this beautiful region.

Other great courses not too far from Château de la Bégude Hotel include Royal Mougins Golf Club and Old Course Cannes Mandelieu.
