Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is a luxury boutique hotel and spa just minutes from the Balearic coastline and beaches, with access to some of Spain’s finest golf courses.
This 5-star retreat is less than an hour from Palma International Airport, close to the buzzing coastal town of Santa Ponsa in the southwest of the island. It’s also just nine miles from the bustling capital of Palma and close to some of the island’s best golf courses.
Only a few minutes away is the white sandy beach of Playa Santa Ponsa, while just a 15 minutes’ drive is the chic Puerto Portals harbour which is alive with restaurants and bars. The hotel’s free shuttle service can take guests to the closest beaches, golf courses and sightseeing spots.

The hotel is contemporary and tasteful with two low-rise buildings around a central courtyard and extensive manicured gardens. The 79 modern and comfortable rooms are adorned with artworks and all have private terraces. The room facilities include a coffee machine, music system, Smart TV, mini-bar, exercise mats, walk-in shower, deluxe toiletries and 24-hour room service. Upgraded rooms and suites can additionally feature an outdoor Jacuzzi and private garden.

There’s three swimming pools including an adult pool and interior heated lap pool, while the luxurious Maison Codage Spa has seven massage and treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, gym and the unique halotherapy ‘salt cave’ room. Emphasis is on well-being and the hotel has a host of treatments to revive body and mind and a wellness club.

There’s paddle boarding, yoga and complimentary bikes to explore the Tramuntana mountains. Only a few minutes away is the famous Mallorca Country Club with its excellent tennis facilities or you can tee it up at Golf Santa Ponsa, just a short walk from the hotel. Guest can play here and at three other excellent courses.

Club de Golf Santa Ponsa I is the nearest golf course. It’s stunningly beautiful and the wide, mostly flat fairways make it very player-friendly. There’s 11 lakes, over 40 bunkers and beautiful views throughout. Dating back to the late 1970s, it was the second course on the island to open and it hosted the Balearic Open on the European Tour on six occasions between 1988 and 1998.

T Golf Palma Puntiro opened in 2006, the first Majorcan course from the Nicklaus Design stable. It’s adorned with pines, olive and carob trees and its seeded with Bermuda grass from tee to green giving it an American feel and look. Two huge lakes provide the main features with holes 7 and 8, and 15 and 16 played by or across them. It’s a peaceful round with a notable absence of buildings.

T Golf Calvia is one of the most popular courses in Mallorca. Wide fairways and some of the largest greens on the island make for a fun and accessible challenge which weaves through rolling hills, pines and lakes. A highly enjoyable parkland layout and the views are gorgeous, set between the Mediterranean the Tramuntana Mountains.

Club de Golf Alcanada was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and sits on the northern tip of Mallorca. It’s perfectly manicured with elevated tees, while two reachable par 5s and four entertaining par 3s add to the fun. It’s a parkland layout with pine and olive tree-lined fairways, gentle undulations and panoramic ocean views.

Kimpton Aysla Mallorca’s gastronomic Saba restaurant provides a unique dining experience which blends Mediterranean and Asian cuisines using local ingredients combined with Asian techniques, with chefs seen working away in the open kitchen. Saba also has an outdoor bar where you can relax with a morning coffee and pastries or in the evening enjoy cocktails and tapas along with live music and DJs.

Zayt Pool & Garden Deli is the hotel’s casual restaurant where guests can enjoy Mediterranean dishes, grilled meats and fish, and classic cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere close to the main pool. The hotel also offers a comprehensive breakfast buffet including freshly prepared dishes.
