Carved into the hills just 20km from Lake Garda, Golf Club Verona, is a course of two halves. The front-nine is tight with many trees whereas the back-nine opens-up and allows you to relax a bit more.
Playing a round at Golf Club Verona is a real experience in natural golf. The course effortlessly blends in with its surroundings and gives you a serene and secluded feeling. This course is a real joy to play.
They call themselves ‘the wine golf course’, this is a wonderful Pete Dye and Marco Croze facility. With 27-holes built on great terrain decorated with small lakes, this is a fun course that will both challenge and please you.
Each hole at Franciacorta Golf Club provides a completely unique challenge and you feel the course change as you walk it. The views of Franciacorta and the vineyards that sit beside the town make for fantastic views.
This is another Marco Croze course in the Lake Garda-area. The ever-changing terrain makes for a technically challenging, but fun, course. Colli Berici sits proudly up in the hills and offers magnificent views of Vicenza and the surrounding mountains during the front-nine. As you make your way to the back-nine you will face dense woodland so your precision will be tested.
Once your golf is finished, take time to enjoy the renowned restaurant at the course. It will be the perfect end to a great round or make you feel much better after a bad one.
With 27-holes and a 9-hole executive course, this Chervò Golf San Vigilio is easy to get to at just 3km from the motorway. This is an open course making it fun for all golfers. Big-hitters can give it a go whilst the tacticians among you can plot your way round.
This is a beautiful and naturally charming golf course with one of Italy’s finest clubhouses. As you make your way around the course you are treated to views of the two towers San Martino and Solferino, just to add to the experience.
Arzaga Golf Club
This is another 27-hole complex in the region and this one was designed by some of the biggest names in golf. Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Jr. created the courses here.
The courses at Arzaga have an American feel to them and have some excellent bunkering to challenge even the elite golfers making their way around the courses. The Player course is the tightest of the nines and makes its way around the historical palace on the property.
Talking of famous American golf course designers, this course is the work of Jim Fazio. Golfers who enjoy technical and strategic tests will love Paradiso del Garda. Water and bunkers make up the majority of the hazards for you to navigate around.
This is a beautiful golf course that you will enjoy no matter how you play. With great attention to detail in terms of your experience here and the upkeep of the course, it is no wonder that this is one of the highest regarded courses in Italy.
The setting of this 27-hole facility is breathtaking. Sitting between Rocca di Manerba, the Soiano castle and the hills of Valtenesi makes this one of the prettiest courses you’ll ever play. With three 9-hole loops, there is a set-up to match your ability.
The white and red nine combination of Gardagolf has hosted the Italian Open twice and is home to All Square Ambassador Matteo Manassero. Although a challenging course, playing here is an absolute joy. Gardagolf is one looking for that extra-special experience.
Old golf courses often have an interesting history. Bogliaco is Italy’s third oldest course and its story rivals any course in the world. Originally built to be a challenging 9-holer, the course was repurposed as a runway by Mussolini before being used as a baseball field before becoming a golf course again.
The course gives incredible views of the lake from its hillside position and has recently reopened after course renovations. The new par-70 set-up is ready to test and please golfers walking the famous course.
