Stay at luxury resorts W Costa Navarino, The Westin Resort or The Romanos and play at four golf courses designed by Jose Maria Olazabal, Bernhard Langer and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Costa Navarino in the Greece Peloponnese is one of Europe‘s premier destinations for golfers, home to a collection of five-star resorts and world-class golf courses. Located in the southern region of Messinia, Kalamata airport is only a 45-minute drive away while Athens airport is just over three hours away.
These opulent, eco-friendly resorts have fantastic facilities for groups of friends, couples and families, nestled in olive and citrus trees along a stretch of coastline with sea and mountain views. Guests at any of the resorts that make up Costa Navarino have access to over 40 dining venues, a wide range of sports, outdoor and cultural activities, plus an array of five-star services. There’s also Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail, street food, open-air cinema and music.
Costa Navarino is comprised of connected sites, one of which is Navarino Bay. This is where you’ll find The Bay golf course which is next to Navarino Waterfront, home to W Costa Navarino.
W Costa Navarino exclusively welcomes adults and young adults over 12 years old. This luxury resort offers 246 stylish rooms, two-bedroom suites and three-bedroom villas with private infinity pools in the Bay of Navarino with Ionian Sea views. There’s a Beach Club, deli food market, bar and lounge, and The Away Spa and gym with a heated pool. There are several dining options and guests can also enjoy experiences and dining at neighbouring venues in Costa Navarino. The hotel is also right next to the watersports centre.
Another site, Navarino Dunes is home to The Dunes golf course as well as two luxury hotels, The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort.
The Westin Resort Costa Navarino is a family-friendly resort which features a wide selection of deluxe family rooms and suites with terraces or balconies, with most ground-floor units having infinity pools. They are set in a seaside location on a verdant hillside with sea, golf course and pool views. In all, there are 445 rooms and suites and 131 infinity pools. There’s beach access, shared pools, several dining options, the Mouratoglou Tennis Center, watersports, the Anazoe Spa as well as a nursery, kids club and teens club. There’s also an aqua park for family fun.
The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, is set in a seaside location and offers a wide selection of 321 premium rooms, suites and villas along with the Royal Villa Methoni and the Royal Villa Koroni, featuring breathtaking uninterrupted views of the beach and coastline. Many have private infinity pools, with 128 infinity pools in total. There are several dining options as well as the Mouratoglou Tennis Center and the Anazoe Spa.
Closely neighbouring these sites is Navarino Hills, set above the coastline with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the historic Bay of Navarino and the Ionian Sea. Here you’ll find The Hills and the International Olympic Academy golf courses.
Costa Navarino’s two original signature golf courses, The Dunes designed by two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer which opened in 2010, was joined a year later by The Bay designed by legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. They have since been joined by two 18-hole signature courses designed by fellow double Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, the International Olympic Academy Golf Course and The Hills.
The Dunes is set in diverse natural scenery with incredible ocean views and takes its name from the tall dunes that separate several holes from the beach. The Bay provides panoramic sea and mountain views, with two holes playing right along the Bay of Navarino, while The International Olympic Academy Golf Course and The Hills Course offer golfers a challenging test and breathtaking sunsets.
The four excellent golf courses are complemented by the Navarino Golf Academy with its full-size driving range, putting green and short-game practice area, along with expert tuition supported by the latest technology.
The extraordinary collection of resorts and golf courses at Costa Navarino is surrounded by secluded bays and beaches, historic villages and ancient UNESCO World Heritage sites, offering guests a perfect blend of world-class golf, heritage and indulgence tucked away in one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful locations.
