The Ultimate Golf Trip Through Gulf Coast of Florida
Celebrate getting back on the golf course with a new driver. Let’s take a look at the best new models on the market from top brands including TaylorMade, Cobra and Mizuno.
Taylormade‘s new SIM drivers (Shape in Motion) have landed! They have a striking asymmetric sole designed to improve aerodynamics and thus club head speed through the critical final phase of the swing. The centre of gravity is kept low by an Inertia Generator, a steel weight at the rear of the club. Speed Injected Twist Face is designed to improve ball speed across the face and increase accuracy on mis-hits. The SIM model has a movable weight track to dial in draw or fade, the larger faced SIM Max is built for more forgiveness, while the lighter SIM Max D is higher-launching. The range is: SIM, SIM Max, SIM Max D, SIM Max Ladies, and SIM Max D Ladies.
The new Cobra driver promises to deliver even more speed and distance. Power comes from the new CNC Infinity Milled Face and a raised front and rear skirt helps maximise club head speed by reducing drag. The standard King Speedzone has front to back adjustable weights for launch and spin while the King Speedzone Xtreme provides increased forgiveness. This driver is designed to go as fast and straight as possible. A larger profile with 17 grams of tungsten achieves our highest measured MOI. A traditional shape with CG adjustability is ideal for those who love to work the ball and fine tune launch & spin without sacrificing forgiveness. The range includes: King Speedzone, King Speedzone Tour Length, King Speedzone Extreme, and King Speedzone Extreme Tour Length.
Callaway‘s fastest driver featuring an all-new Cyclone Aero shape for reduced drag. A new Artificial Intelligence-designed Flash Face SS20 promotes fast ball speeds across a more expansive area in each model and loft. New face architecture uses FS2S titanium, an extremely strong material that’s 6 grams lighter than traditional titanium to promote optimal speed, forgiveness, and spin robustness. Two internal Jailbreak bars connect the sole and crown to promote fast ball speed, and the significantly lighter carbon crown allows us to redistribute weight for higher MOI. A new Cyclone Aero Shape head shape enhances aerodynamics to reduce drag for fast head speed. The range includes: Mavrik, Mavrik Max, Mavrik Sub-Zero, Women’s Mavrik, and Women’s Mavrik Max.
The ST200 series is a new breed of Mizuno metalwoods that combine low spin and forgiveness. They are high stability drivers for players wanting straight line distance and predictability. With a choice of 3 drivers, each with a Beta rich Titanium face, optimizing performance from 3 different ball flights. The ST200 is ultra stable with mid/low spin and best for low spin forgiveness. The ST200G is low to mid-spin and best for high swing speed efficiency. The ST200X is high launch with draw bias and best for mid and lower swing speeds.
The Honma drivers have been engineered with an innovative cutting edge Ti Carbon Frame, ET40 Carbon Crown and Sole. Reducing overall weight to create more speed to deliver more distance and speed off the tee. The weight-saving ET40 carbon crown structure helps lower the centre of gravity position, and 3 adjustable weights which are strategically positioned to provide stability, low spin or draw bias. Non-rotating hosel technology keeps the shaft spine perfectly aligned through all adjustable loft-lie settings. The range includes: TR20 440 and TR20 460.
