Breakdown of College Golf: How Does It Work?

Escape to the sun this winter with a stay & play package at Park Hyatt Dubai with golf at Greg Norman and Ernie Els golf courses.
Dubai’s climate between December and March is perfect for golf with pleasantly warm temperatures averaging between 16⁰C and 23⁰C with very little rain and plenty of sunshine hours each day. During your trip, you can discover the Burj Khalifa, the Bastakia Quarter, The Palms, Ski Dubai, Dubai Mall, and Wild Wadi Waterpark, as well as the world-class services and facilities.

One of the city’s premier places to stay, Park Hyatt Dubai is a 5-star luxurious waterfront retreat that sits adjacent to the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and its world-famous Dubai Creek golf course. Guests lucky enough to stay here can also enjoy access to the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course by Greg Norman, and The Els Club.

Park Hyatt Dubai is just minutes from the city center and the world-class shopping district, with 223 guest rooms and 33 suites each offering a private balcony or terrace with gorgeous views of the Dubai Creek and skyline or the lagoon. A stunning 100-metre infinity pool that leads into a private lagoon beach, several award-winning bars and restaurants serving Mediterranean, Indian, Thai, French cuisines, and more and the luxury destination Amara spa are among the superb facilities, combined with private charter yachts, tennis and padel courts, a pool bar, sky lounge, the Cave Kids Club and a beach club.

The championship course at Dubai Creek, redeveloped in 2004 by Thomas Bjorn in association with European Golf Design, is a two-time host of the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour and hosted the 2024 DP World Tour’s Dubai Invitational. It has manicured greens and well-groomed fairways lined by date and palm trees, while the creek and several lakes add to the challenge and beauty along with incredible views of the city’s famous skyline. Ideal for beginners or to test your short game, the excellent 9-hole Par 3 course and driving range at Dubai Creek Golf Academy are floodlit with play as late as 10pm.

Close to Park Hyatt Dubai and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, The Majlis at Emirates Golf Club, designed by American Karl Litten, was the first grass course in the Middle East and now hosts the Desert Dubai Classic on the DP World Tour, won in 2024 by Rory McIlroy. Undoubtedly one of the finest venues in the United Arab Emirates, it’s famously set against the dramatic backdrop of Dubai’s iconic skyline. The carpet-like fairways are pleasingly framed by tall desert dunes with several salt and freshwater lakes.

The Earth Course at the prestigious Jumeirah Golf Estates was designed by Greg Norman and is host of the DP World Tour Championship, the climax of The Race to Dubai and the DP World Tour season. Norman called the last four holes, played alongside or over water including a meandering creek running the full length of the 18th, “the most challenging mile in golf”. It’s a parkland-style course with rolling fairways and brilliant white bunkering, framed by a plethora of trees and shrubs, making the course a feast for the eyes.

For yet another immaculate and superbly designed golf course, The Els Club is a treat. The four-time major winner took inspiration from some of his favorite courses in the world when putting the layout together, including Royal Melbourne and Pinehurst No. 2, while the general links-style set-up has a British feel to it. Together, these superb options make Dubai a bucket-list destination for golfers.
