Dom Pedro Golf Resort in the Algarve is wonderfully located in the chic resort town of Vilamoura with its beautiful marina, beach and four fantastic golf courses.
Dom Pedro lies just Just 20 km west of Faro Airport, set in a prime location close to Vilamoura Marina. It’s a 4-star resort which enjoys access to four nearby championship golf courses. There’s elegant rooms and suites, perfect for couples or larger groups, the indulgent Spa Aquae, outdoor and indoor swimming pools as well as Padel and tennis courts, all just a two-minute walk to the stunning Vilamoura Beach and the famous marina.

Many of the rooms and suites have private balconies with gorgeous views of the ocean and of the resort’s gardens, while the spa offers a revitalizing selection of Thalgo body and facial treatments as well as an indoor pool and gym, both with panoramic views of the outdoor pool and gardens.
The main restaurant is The Oliva, which offers a varied buffet and specialties in Portuguese gastronomy, highlighting the regional cuisine of the Algarve. The Gazebo Bar is perfect pre-or post-dinner cocktails, while the Alambique Bar has an outdoor terrace for light bites, refreshing cocktails, beers and a selection of wines.

The resort town of Vilamoura where the resort is set boasts world-class hotels, chic shops and trendy beach clubs as well as lovely restaurants and bars overlooking the picturesque marina where multi-millionaires moor their yachts. Combined with the region’s world-class golf courses, Dom Pedro Vilamoura is the ideal setting for a sophisticated golf trip.
Guests at the resort can enjoy access to four golf courses designed by legendary names. Together they offer a fun challenge for golfers of all skill levels, and all are well maintained with magnificent views. Dom Pedro Vilamoura, situated just 10 minutes by car from all these top golf courses, offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the courses.

There is also a fifth course here, The Victoria Course which is currently undergoing renovation. Originally opened in 2004, it was designed by Arnold Palmer and regularly hosted the Portugal Masters on the DP World Tour. The reopening is scheduled for February 2025.

Firstly we have the Millennium Course. Renovated by UK golf architects Hawtree & Sons in 2000, it’s a more open course that its neighbours, though holes 3-7 weave between picturesque pine trees that adorn this region. There’s a number of lakes and water hazards and generally it’s a player-friendly course and incredibly scenic set in rolling countryside.

The neighbouring Frank Pennink designed Old Course is one of the Algarve’s more famous courses, dating back to 1969. It was renovated in the late 1990s and today it’s an excellent parkland-style layout. Designed to be like a classic English inland course, it’s blessed with natural undulations with tree-lined fairways and exemplary greens.

Close by is the Pinhal Course, originally designed by Frank Pennink in the late 1970s and updated in the mid-1980s by Robert Trent Jones. It has both a British and American feel and therefore offers holes of great variation. Set in the middle of a pine wood, the greens are small in size requiring great precision from the well-groomed fairways. The gorgeous panoramic views over the sea make it a memorable round of golf.

Finally, there’s the Joseph Lee-designed Laguna Course which first opened in 1990. It has been continually updated and improved since then and today stands out from the others with a traditional links feel. The wide fairways make it fun and playable, though a lake, nearly 80 strategically placed bunkers and numerous water hazards keep you on your toes.
