Your Perfect Trip to The K Club, Ireland

In October Tiger Woods gathered the media for an exciting announcement. He wanted the world to know about the next chapter in his work off-course, he was ready to unveil his new brand, Tiger Woods Ventures and TGR.
This launch is the third version of the Tiger Woods brand and it’s come a long way. When he first exploded onto the scene he had the red and black symbol (you know the one that looked a bit like the Hyundai logo), then he launched the famous TW insignia. We now have a new brand logo and one that resembles either a ‘W’ or tiger stripes/claws, maybe it’s all of the above. Today on Tiger Week we will discuss what the new brand is all about and what the future holds for TGR.
Tiger’s first foray into the restaurant business sees him follow in the footsteps of many pro-athletes who have opened eateries. In 2014 Woods invested $8 million of his own cash into this project.
His vision was to create “a place where people can meet friends, watch sports and enjoy a good meal” in Harbourside Place, Jupiter, FL.
On a scale of sports bar to fine dining establishment, The Woods certainly sits more towards the latter. Although it’s not going to be seeking a star from the chaps at the Michelin Guide, the food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable too and judging by the Tiger-sized gallery at the bar every weekend, it works. The Woods Jupiter is a great start to his venture as a restauranteur and there’s little doubt that Tiger will expand this brand to more outlets in the future.
This is the arm of the company that operates events. The profits that it raises also go to the Tiger Woods Foundation (TWF). The focus of TGR Live is to provide clients and supporters of the TWF with great experiences. Through events such as The Quicken Loans National, The Genesis Open, The Hero World Challenge and The Tiger Woods Invitational as well as Tiger Jam they achieve this. TGR Live manages these events by providing hospitality, sponsorship sales and tournament operations services.
Tiger Jam is a weekend of fun and fundraising in Las Vegas. Attendees are entertained with parties, a concert and golf, including a clinic from Tiger himself. The concert is performed by some of the biggest artists around and is always a great success. Sounds like a great weekend!
Tiger has many strings to his bow. He has said that the launch of TGR is just the beginning of a new chapter in his off-course work. TGR’s two most famous branches are the Tiger Woods Foundation and Design by TGR and we have featured them already. There is little doubt that they will continue to see great growth in the coming years. After all, the company chairman, Mr Woods himself, expects nothing less than the best.
As you can see, Tiger has built quite the portfolio of ventures already and he has been incredibly successful. Whilst it is great to see Tiger and his team continue to have great success off-course, as golfers we look forward to seeing him regain his on-course prominence.
